@aaronhoyland My oldest had to be carried out of shopping malls like a football - both ends flailing and have a talk at home and the middle never lost his cool. All kids handle emotions differently- just affirm their value and guide them through it ❤️

@aaronhoyland My youngest used to go to his room when he was having a “temper” - that’s what he called it. Then he would trash his room but then clean it up on his own - this was age 3-4. To be clear, he sent himself to his room. 1/2

The government tells you they are funding education properly. But those of us in the system know better. We’ve seen unprecedented cuts to special education and ESL staff. We see kids in crisis daily without the supports they need to be safe and successful. #OntEd

In 2015 I brought several classes from my school to visit the site of the former Mohawk Institute residential school. This was a profound experience that changes you as a person- nobody was left unmoved. The WCC is offering virtual tours this week. I highly recommend. 🧡🪶

@ZeroFox_08 It’s in the curriculum (and rightfully so) - different types of families including but not limited to nuclear, same sex couples, multigenerational, etc. If you want control over this then I suggest home school. The teacher is doing their job to educate.

My son came home this week and said they read a book about 2-moms & 2-dads He’s 6. This is day 12 of grade one We have a meeting on Tuesday with the teacher
