I initially liked ABS, but after 2 full seasons, I’m having some doubts. It takes away aggressiveness away from pitchers. Instead of attacking the zone, I’m noticing more pitchers trying to “clip” the zone. There are positives as it sort of gets rid of bad umpiring. However at this point, I’d rather watch a game with a good ump.

The following a college scoring issue that annoys me greatly. I do not like hearing about college baseball coaches bullying scorers to make changes to protect the ERA of a pitcher, especially when the scorer is a female, and especially when she ruled it correctly (it was forwarded to me this morning, I saw it and it was scored properly). There is ZERO chance, and I mean ZERO that if this ball was hit by the coach’s player, it would be ruled an error. Absolutely none. Bullying by coaches is ridiculous, and it needs to stop. Baseball is for everyone, and there has been tremendous progress in getting more females into scoring. MLB has some great female scorers (Kara in Arizona and Jillian in Colorado come to mind). We don’t need coaches bullying women and making them not feel like there is a place for them in this great game. #RantOver

@ScoringChanges Would like to see them tweak the rule so that the safety base is still considered a base up until delivery of the next pitch or something similar. Maybe until the ball gets back to the circle.

I will always argue this, but just make the entire base a safe haven. It’s ridiculous for the defense to get an out on this. She’s out because she technically is even with the base, and even though she overran it, this is considered no longer immune for overrunning first.
