The other day I had a German/Indian in his house that he uses for holidays saying that Americans increase house prices.
I called him hypocrite because he has an holiday house while Americans move here and actually contribute. While Germans go to Lidl, just cheap people.
Got super offended.
The girl you met is a Marxist looser living or her privilege, parents money, free everything.
Ignore those losers. Lisbon if full of them. You will meet them because they hand around doing nothing, waiting for someone to offer them an easy job.
Most of us don’t think like that.

I always had great experiences with Americans at work. Always.
Now as a host I receive guests and can’t believe how nice Americans are, with no exceptions, even those you would expect to be problematic.
Once I had a VC from California who stayed during terrible storms, wind, and rain. He loved it, was super kind, and was honestly thankful, even though he could afford the best places.
The same pattern holds regardless of social class or wealth.
On the opposite side are French-speaking countries. What’s wrong with these people? They just seem not nice, unhappy, upset, with fake kindness, judgmental and arrogant attitudes. I shouldn’t generalise, but professionally I’ve met dozens and the pattern was always there.
The UK is a mix: the nicest people and the worst cunts. Same with the Portuguese.
Young people across nationalities are becoming horrible, no manners, poor hygiene, and no social skills, which makes hosting them awful. Please go to hotels with automatic check-in!
This is not generalised to all young people; many are kind, and there is a clear gap in education and manners.
My conclusion is that empathy, hard work, and care are essential. Americans have this genuine “Good for you” attitude and are truly happy when others do well.
Europeans aren’t. They judge.
“Wealthy” Portuguese normally trash the house and have an attitude only possible in societies with a caste system or strong social classes.
The difference is that some people feel honoured and others demand more. Those who feel honoured are normally wealthier and could afford much better.
It’s a very interesting experience that matches my life experiences with different nationalities.
Take no personal offence, that would be just stupid.

Your right bro. Im an American living in Cascais and a German girl told me that im a greedy American capitalist the other day for telling her I renovate middle class homes in the US. I dont even do this in Europe yet she claims im contributing to the unaffordable crisis in Europe for simple renovating shitty homes in America.

On every metric, American kids are so much dumber than they were 5 years ago and we are grade inflating away the reality.

They just gave up on pretending AP exams are “college level work”

Bitcoin has won. 🏆
There is no second best.
Michael Saylor@saylor
Bitcoin has won. Global consensus is that $BTC is digital capital. The four-year cycle is dead. Price is now driven by capital flows. Bank and digital credit will determine Bitcoin’s growth trajectory. The biggest risk is bad ideas driving iatrogenic protocol changes.

Why does DEI scare maga so much? It helps us all, including the uneducated maga. I dont get why grown men are this scared of diversity. It tells me how embarrassing maga men are to the country and the world, and elon is trying to scare them into hating people. Elon is a South African immigrant, and stupid maga eats this up like the idiots they are. Elon knows how easy it is to indoctrinate and instill fear into the dumb. Maga is so embarrassing!

David Rubin served as President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences from 2019 to 2022.
In 2020, under his leadership, the Academy launched the “Representation and Inclusion Standards” for Best Picture eligibility. These rules, still in effect, require films to meet at least 2 of 4 diversity criteria involving race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or disability in on-screen roles, creative leadership, or crew.
Rubin publicly backed the changes and helped appoint the task force co-led by producer DeVon Franklin.
He shifted the Oscars from “best movie wins” to race/gender engineering. A film can now be ineligible for the top prize purely for failing demographic quotas, regardless of quality or audience impact.
Instead of focusing purely on talent and storytelling, the Academy under Rubin institutionalized identity preferences.
Oscars prestige and viewership have tanked. Many see it as performative politics over art. Classics with non-diverse casts would be disqualified.
He helped install the DEI machinery that turned awards into checkboxes and accelerated Hollywood’s quality decline.
