@graeme_from_IT Fun fact: when they've filled all their "funded" places there is NO mechanism by which a Scottish student can fund their own place - so even if your parents can afford it, which would save the SG money, the university can't take you.

Well, it's happening. I'm going to Scotland as a card-carrying Boston resident to walk from Edinburgh to Glasgow, our new sister city, via the canal paths that link the two. Dates/deets TBD, but I'm going to have to start doing longer walks to train for this.

I have contacted SNP leader John Swinney and Plaid Cymru leader Rhun ap Iorwerth to congratulate them on their enormous mandates. For the first time ever, there could be three pro-independence First Ministers across these islands. More and more people are looking towards a future beyond the constraints of the Union.
