Numbers actually went UP from 35" to 44" in New Jersey on the overnight NAM. This is happening at a ratio of 8:1 because of a combination of marginal temperatures and high winds. High winds cause dendritic destruction which reduces snow ratios. That means this 3 FEET PLUS area is going to have the consistency of concrete. Be very careful trying to shovel this. Dendritic Destruction is caused by snowflakes slamming into each other in high wind speeds which breaks off the delicate branches of the snowflakes, reducing the "Fluff Factor" (Snow to Liquid Ratio).
