NEW: Michigan State Police chase ends with teen suspect being shot and innocent bystander killed in Inkster crash Yesterday, around 2:45 p.m. in Inkster, Michigan, a Michigan State Police chase ended when a suspect ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle at Parkwood and Oakwood streets. The driver of the struck vehicle was killed. The suspect, a 19-year-old man wanted in connection with a homicide investigation, exited the SUV and fled on foot. Troopers fired, striking him in the lower body. He was taken into custody and is in stable condition at a hospital. Two firearms were recovered at the scene. The involved troopers have been placed on administrative leave. The investigation is ongoing.
