So true, Sawyer ... there are times when words really hit home (a doctor's explanation, or a teacher's comment about your child) - even if the speaker of those words hadn't rehearsed them or even put in much thought. Couldn't agree more with you "There's no such thing as a throwaway line."

Every day and everything can be two things. There's no such thing as a throwaway line. Someone, somewhere, will remember what you say. It might mean nothing to you, but it could live in someone else's brain for decades. Words stick in ways we never intend and can't predict.
