You may be asking yourself, “How could this happen?” And the answer is, because every single modern “vault” product is just a wrapped multisig. And I don’t mean that as in, “the multisig can rug you”, or the product requires trust. I mean literally every action they take is just arbitrary execution sent through some 2/3 or 2/4 msig with unknown signers. They operate through unbounded “execute” functions that allow the owner at any time do any possible execution they want. It’s a recipe for disaster even fully discounting ill intent. This is certainly not the first error and won’t be the last. If the vault doesn’t say Yearn or Morpho it’s almost certainly a Safe wrapper not a “vault” Supporters say this model is just more akin to traditional finance models of asset management. They are more like o chain funds. But the irony is not even the most risk on, degenerate style hedge funds in tradfi would allow 1 or 2 private keys to just arbitrarily yeet user funds around at will like we do in “DeFi” And so now the majority of crypto in its current form both requires MORE trust in the operators during normal times and has worse protections for users in bad times. It really is becoming Banking but worse. Higher

The thing is, I'm not some random anonymous person. I'm the creator of one of the largest communities in the CIS region. I've been talking about the project, its technical features, its prospects, and so on, since 2021. I've hosted two podcasts with Bram and Gene. Financially, our community, I'm sure, contributed more than all the investors combined. We were told that the pre-farm wouldn't be sold, that Chia had enough funds for operating expenses, and so on. Today, we're seeing the opposite: there's no funding, large-scale pre-farm sales amid a lack of liquidity, leading to a price collapse to historic lows. Everyone who believed in and supported the project early on (farmers, investors) is suffering a huge loss. And yet, we're told that "everything is great," "everything is going according to plan," about "uptobers," and so on. But there's no mention of funding issues, the sale of pre-farm to cover salaries, or the project trying to steer using pre-farm as a lifeboat. Today, Jin commented on this for the first time, and it became transparent for the first time. Thanks to questions from an anonymous source like me.
