@Ariatore @PlayWarframe @rebbford He can appear however he wants and takes multiple forms throughout the game, not all of them missing a finger. I see the 1 finger as being more symbolic rather than the literal finger that was cut off.

I have a quick question about the Warframe storyline. Why does the man in the wall only have one finger cut off at the end of *The New War*, even though it’s said that several of his fingers were cut off? @PlayWarframe @rebbford

@NikTek I think the thing about this is that a dev can make a low work, low resolution, polygon ridden game with low res graphics, and then skin it afterwards how they want it to look. It may shave years off a developer’s schedule, and they can focus more on the gameplay/controls.

I can't believe that Nvidia looked at this "AI on top of games filter" and said to themselves this is the future of gaming. Like it or not, this is where Nvidia is heading and they're calling it neural rendering with DLSS 5. The examples they've showed reminded me a lot of those AI generated filter videos on top of GTA V, except that now it is supposed to run in real-time. Honestly, I don't like this current look at all

@AdamK_PS5 @MattGoesBuck They just broke their all-time player record a few months ago. Still going strong. It's a very different game to what it was 13 years ago

@MattGoesBuck Is Warframe still being played? I recommended it earlier because it was cool when it came out, but there was a patch in Y1 that caused a horrible frame rate glitch I couldn’t fix, so I shelved it.

Even with today’s announcement, idc, cook me. In terms of current looter shooters. Warframe > Division 2 > Borderlands 4 / Destiny 2 BL4 and D2 are currently in a contest to see who can be worse, while Warframe cooks, and Division 2 unfortunately doesn’t have the bodies to create new content / theyre making Division 3. Destiny 2 is just bad though.

@PlaySoulframe Is it possible to add a counter attack animation when you parry? Not just the enemy staggering, but a special animation you can choose to execute after a parry?

Warframe is the type of game that allows you to play as a flying pregnant woman capable of producing destruction equivalent to that of a Tsar Nuke and I think that’s beautiful.

@TheDsIEGE In theory, they should be able to. I just don't think they want to tie mechanics to skins. Maybe there's another way they could do it without the need for a skin IDK. Something akin to the umbral essence that was concepted a while ago, but a permanent unlock

Maybe I’m asking a lot here but… by the laws of the lore… shouldn’t all the protoframes be able to move without the operator or drifter like umbra? REALLY WISH we could get that in the game, I love having umbra (usually Arthur) be able to accompany me on missions…

@sharanych @blueberriesGG A more comparable game would be Warframe, which halved the game install size a few years back from 80 gigs down to 40 using Oodle Compression. Wouldn't be surprised if something similar could be implemented in Destiny's case and get a more than 20% benefit.

@blueberriesGG This is not possible, textures in Helldivers are much smaller, these are not comparable games in terms of graphics at all. Perhaps we can talk about some optimization within 10-20% of the game's weight, this is the max.. my opinion as a dev

So... Bungie, when are we getting the Helldivers file-size reduction treatment? 😅

@kalaelizabeth Depends on how much you focus on the main story. You could get there in 40 or 50 hours if you b-line for it. But more like 60-150 if you're taking your time. The game has some really cool story, though, so it's not like you'll be doing nothing cool that whole time

If I start Warframe, how long is it going to take for me to unlock the romances?
