There is no greater lie successful men tell themselves than: “I’m single bc I’m not yet the man who can hold space for my dream wife” Cope cope cope They’re aware of who they need to be, and actively preventing themselves from becoming that man. Imagine if you talked to LeBron in 03 and he told you: “I’m just not going to go for this NBA Draft thing man. I’m not the guy who will be MVP and win a ring as the best player yet. So I’m sitting this one out.” You’d tell him he’s being a fucking moron. Ofc he’s not MVP calibre yet. He’s not in the fucking league. He hasn’t played a single minute. No shit. But the odds of him becoming MVP or a champion at any point in time are 0 if he never gets in the game. There is only so much you can learn about who you need to be in relationships while you’re single. After a while, it becomes pure theory and the ROI flattens. You can’t learn how to play basketball by reading about it. You have to do it. Being a husband (and eventually a dad) works the same way. You’re not the perfect, divine masculine on day 1. However, if you stay on the sidelines and never put your heart on the line, you never learn how to be that man in real time. The next relationship you get in might not be the woman you marry. However, it’s data: If it’s closer to what you want than past relationships, you’re going in the right direction. And if not, (and you stayed longer than you needed to) then it’s time for reflection. And you keep adjusting from there. Lots of men tell themselves that they’ll be ready for a wife and kids when they make money. And then they make money and realize they’re still terrified. So they use the “I’m not the man who can be there for them!!” as an excuse because in their mind it sounds noble. But all it does is keep them unhappy and guarantee that a man who can provide is rejecting his innermost desires. It’s one thing to stay open and go on dates and you haven’t found the right woman yet. It’s one thing to not want a family entirely. It’s another to kick the rock down the road bc you’re scared and say you’re “doing the right thing.” (Also, if you’re not attracting good women that’s also on you but that’s a conversation for another time.) You can’t be a champion of masculinity and say men are the culture setters and better leaders and need to step up and lead… While simultaneously avoiding risk on something you want so deeply. Successful men have taken risks: They built businesses. They’ve travelled and networked. They’ve gone the path less travelled. However, until they learn to open their heart (and remain open), put their heart on the line and get in the game… The masculinity crisis we’ve seen in the last couple decades will continue.

Suboptimal, even dangerous. 25 minutes is barely enough time to lock in on a task, and every distraction accrues up to 23 minutes of refocus debt. Running your days on 25-minute pomodoros is a productivity myth that refuses to die. Worse, it trains your brain for distraction, the exact opposite of what you want. The best structure is cycling 90-minute deep work sessions with rest and recovery protocols between them. Each session needs (1) a clear goal, (2) a time constraint, (3) difficulty slightly above your skill level, and (4) feedback once it's done. Stacked daily, that creates a rhythm of elite performance that roughly 3x's execution speed (we measured it with the founders we train). A few years ago I shared the whole system here in case you want to go deep: youtube.com/watch?v=BT1M3U…

There's a guy with a 7-figure net worth and massive audience who: • Does meth • Hits his face with a hammer • Encourages his audience to hit their face with a hammer And you're afraid to promote your offer. Sad!

When I first learned about the concept of the shadow I was almost certain that I didn’t have one - I could not imagine that there was stuff in my mind that I was unaware of. Most people are like this presumably.
