I attended a Catholic church for the first time today, and I must say, it is vastly different from Pentecostal worship. First of all, I felt like a fraud, as if I wasn't supposed to be there. I truly admire those who convert to Catholicism through marriage or personal conviction because, to be honest, it didn't feel like "church" to me. I didn't feel the presence of God. I’m not saying God wasn't there, but I personally couldn't feel it; I struggled to connect with the Holy Spirit. The preaching is nothing like what I am used to. Everything felt rehearsed. Even during the praises, no one was dancing; instead, there was a lot of repetitive standing and kneeling. I honestly don't know if I left feeling blessed today. It is quite surprising to me that Catholics make up the largest denomination of Christians in the world, because the Mass simply wasn't "giving." It would be incredibly difficult for a Pentecostal to assimilate into Catholic doctrine. A Nigerian woman Amarachi precious laments
