Fallen Hezbollah militiamen from the town on Jibchit, Nabatiyeh in the first two months of the ongoing war. 2 Hezbollah officials told Reuters "several thousands" of their fighters were killed in the ongoing war. Israel assesses it killed about 2,000 militants (1,800 prior to the formal ceasefire and 200 since). This immense sacrifice achieved nothing: Hezbollah rapidly lost control over 5% of Lebanese territory (about 50 villages and towns), now under Israeli occupation. Hezbollah has managed to kill just 17 Israeli soldiers & 4 civilians, a death rate of about 1:100. Looking at this rate of loss & failure to prevent Israel's advance, rational individuals would have abandoned this suicidal mission. Some Hezbollah militants have indeed done so (listen here instagram.com/reels/DWUK-p2i…), yet many more are willing to continue dying. Abbas Jaafar al-Husseini, a Leftist Lebanese writer from the Shia community, explained in a post how this rate of loss was made possible through Hezbollah's indoctrination systems: "For 40 years, the Shia were being prepared for this massacre. For 40 years, it was planted in our minds that fighting Israel is the most obligatory of obligations, even more obligatory than submitting to God. For 40 years, everyone became fully ready to offer human and material sacrifices, while calmly repeating phrases of congratulations [for those killed fighting] and happiness [the happy martyr, as appears in Hezbollah posters… What is happening will be studied: it will be studied how a minority sect in the Levant was psychologically and intellectually made ready for extermination, with its full consent. Even if you liberate Jerusalem, we have lost Jabal Amel as we have known it for decades." Iran invested many billions of dollars since it established Hezbollah in 1982 to turn Lebanon's Shia minority into its vanguard on Israel's border. This assistance helped empower the once-marginalized Shia community & expel the Israeli occupation in 2000. But since 2006, in line with the role Iran assigned to the militia, Hezbollah launched multiple wars against Israel & intervened in Syria to prop up Assad, bringing death and destruction on Lebanon's Shia community.

Amongst the historical figures who used the "Israel's right to exist" framework was Martin Luther King Jr: "We must see Israel’s right to exist and always go out of the way to protect that right to exist." (June 1967, ABC) In the same interview, he called for Israel to leave the occupied territories.

Nazi grade antisemitism from the psychopath who runs “Leftie Stats”. Naked antisemitism flourishing in the Green Party now.

Polanski being a gay Jewish man doesn’t matter to entryists. They are using the Green Party as a vehicle to promote their agenda to the political mainstream, and the Greens are too naive to even realise what is taking place under their noses.

There is a claim that keeps circulating, presented as sophisticated analysis: antisemitic violence is caused by Israel’s actions. If Israel behaved differently, Jewish communities around the world would somehow be safer. This argument is not analysis. It is a moral inversion. And it collapses the moment you apply it consistently. When China imprisons Uyghurs, does anyone warn Muslim communities in Paris to expect attacks? When Russia invaded Ukraine, did anyone tell Russian restaurants to brace for violence? No. Never. The causal chain between a government’s actions and violence against a diaspora is only ever constructed for Jews. Every other minority is extended the basic moral courtesy of being treated as individuals rather than proxies. Now look at what the data actually shows. The SPCJ, which tracks antisemitic incidents in France in coordination with the Interior Ministry, has documented a consistent and damning pattern: it is antisemitic violence that inspires more antisemitic violence, not Israeli policy. After Mohamed Merah murdered Jewish children at point-blank range at the Ozar Hatorah school in Toulouse in 2012, antisemitic acts surged by 200%. There was no Gaza operation. No Israeli military action. The massacre of Jews in France produced more attacks on Jews in France. The same logic held after the Hypercacher attack in January 2015: antisemitic acts increased by nearly 300%. Massacres of Jews do not shock antisemites into restraint. They embolden them. They signal impunity. They normalize hatred. And everyone in a position of responsibility knows it. Which brings us to October 7. From the day of the Hamas attack, antisemitic acts in France increased by over 1,000%. A daily average of approximately 25 antisemitic acts was recorded in the 30 days that followed, reaching nearly 40 on some days. In the three months after the attack, the number of antisemitic acts equaled those recorded over the previous three years combined. And here is another detail that makes the “Israel causes antisemitism” argument impossible to sustain: the spike began on October 7 itself, the very day of the attack. Israel had not yet responded. Not a single soldier had entered Gaza. Interior Minister Darmanin sent an urgent message to prefects that same day asking them to immediately reinforce protection of Jewish community sites. Synagogues. Schools. Community centers. By October 10, 10,000 police officers had been deployed to protect 500 Jewish sites across the country. Before any Israeli response existed, the French government already knew that Jewish communities needed protecting. Not because of what Israel was about to do. Because of what had just been done to Jews. Antisemitic violence has one cause. Antisemitism.

@Alonso_GD Overall, quite the productive day for Alonso: dogwhistles, hateful tropes, terrorist apologia, delegitimizing Israel, dehumanizing Israelis, disinformation, distorting law and history, evading inconvenient truths... 😵‍💫 And all this when he left X two months ago! Amazing!

No. It's because your party is fielding candidate after candidate who have been shown to be disgusting antisemites. Your party is riddled with it, and what are you doing about it? No apology, no process, no plan.
Zack Polanski@ZackPolanski

When you see the relentless attacks from other parties on the Greens across the media remember this: They hate our plan to end Rip Off Britain. They don't want a wealth tax. They don't want public ownership & lower bills. They're trying everything in their power to stop us.

So @Alonso_GD (who defended Corbyn on Labour's antisemitism scandal) is now using this one possibly Islamophobic comment from an unnamed Labour official two and a half years ago to deploy a shield of whataboutism to defend a party with near-daily wildly antisemitic incidents from multiple candidates, activists and senior officials at a time the UK is facing its worst antisemitism crisis in (at least) decades, with British Jews facing a serious threat to their safety (which the party leader, much like Alonso, regularly downplays.) He's just very concerned about the UK's hate crisis you see. 🫠

@MartinPerring @Alonso_GD @MonicaLMarks No, my little sfinj. Many people (including your buddy @Alonso_GD here) use "cancel culture" more broadly than just "getting people fired". Like in THIS VERY THREAD where Alonso cries CANCEL CULTURE at criticism of his favorite multimillionaire self-employed trust fund nepo baby.

Hon, stop twerking so much! & it's ludicrous as fuck, given Monica "L" Marks is quite literally earning her bread-&-butter in police/surveillance State run by mercaneries from CIA-MI6 & elsewhere under auspices of liberal "9/11 hero" Richard "Dick" Clarke. @MartinPerring

Classic @Alonso_GD. The coded hateful trope with just enough ambiguity to provide plausible deniability. Then of course the mocking of the paranoid oversensitive Jews for being taken aback by phrasing they've encountered countless times before... Trying to get Hasan's attention?
