Here's an interesting situation developing in the NC Senate. Libertarian candidates have the opportunity to impact the Senate's Republican supermajority next term, running candidaes in TWO of the three toss-up districts. @ElectBradHessel in SD-18 and Gavin Bell in SD-11. SD-18 is particularly interesting in that the incumbent Democrat recently resigned, throwing the race into a three person free for all. Let me start by saying I can neither confirm nor deny the presence of nuclear weapons at Kings Bay, GA. What I can say is that I spent 8 years working in the U.S. Navy's nuclear weapon security program. I’ve seen firsthand the seriousness with which these systems are handled and how devastating their use would be. The Columbia-class submarines, the next generation of our ballistic missile subs, will carry Trident D5 missiles capable of delivering a level of destruction we can barely comprehend. Tulsi Gabbard is right to raise the alarm about the danger of nuclear war. We’ve grown numb to the reality that just one mistake, one miscalculation, or one escalation could end civilization as we know it. Iran is not a threat to the American people. The bigger threat is right here at home: the warmongering neocon politicians who keep pushing us closer to the edge. Endless intervention, reckless rhetoric, and bipartisan lust for conflict are the real dangers we face. We should be working for peace, not playing global games of nuclear chicken.

This is Mason and Madalyn Savely, with their son Holston. With your help, we have reunited this family, after Tennessee "Child Protective Services" has spent over a year tearing them apart. Here's what happened: Holston was born on September of 2023. At 7 weeks old, Holston was taken to a children’s hospital because his thigh was swollen. A full body scan showed that his femur was fractured, and he had other fractures in various stages of healing. Holston had no outward or internal bruising that would indicate injury or trauma. An ophthalmologist determined that Holston had not been shaken. Holston’s lab results were abnormal: he had vitamin D and phosphorous deficiency. All of this points to a health condition such as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) causing his fractures. Despite all of this, Mason and Madalyn were accused of abuse by a "Child Abuse Pediatrician". CPS was notified, and Holston was seized and taken into state custody. The Savelys were informed that CPS sought to terminate their parental rights. The Savelys are not alone. Thousands of parents across the country face losing their kids, due to one CAP's false claims. Law enforcement is not involved, and there is no criminal investigation. In March, Holston was diagnosed with infantile rickets and EDS by a specialist. With three independent doctors concluding that Holston was not abused, CPS still seeks to terminate their parental rights. The Savelys have spent over $100,000 on legal fees and medical experts. @YATPOfficial found out about this case. After investigating, we got to work, raising money for the Savelys' fees and providing them with support. On Friday, they got their day in court, with YATP staff by their side. After a year of separation, the judge ordered Mason to be allowed to go back home to live with Madalyn and Holston. The judge has to review over 20 hours of recorded depositions and other evidence before next month's hearing. Based on his actions on Friday, and all evidence proving their innocence, we expect him to order reunification and end this case. We will continue to fight for the Savelys until this is over, and this nightmare is past them for good.
