The ICC prosecutor's office is seeking an arrest warrant for Israel's minister of finance Bezalel Smotrich, Middle East Eye reports. The charges are understood to include forced displacement and apartheid as crimes against humanity. Smotrich's ministry of finance controls Israeli weapons manufacturer Rafael, which owns an arms firm in Newcastle called Pearson Engineering. The MoD recently awarded a £10m contract to Pearson Engineering, and the British police have spent hundreds of thousands of pounds protecting it from pro-Palestine protests.
