@vrtrahan_ Are you sure that Majerhat was Kalighat? AFAIK New Alipore station used to be Kalighat some 30 yrs back.

Many people aren't aware of this but long back Falta used to be the terminus of the narrow gauge Kalighat-Falta Railway (KFR), which started from Kalighat (now Majerhat). It was closed due to losses in 1957 & the tracks were dismantled to make the James Long Sarani road.

Cut to the present and RSS/BJP buffoons were all set to give up the name India! It took Pakistan to bring them back to senses.
Zarar 🇵🇰@Sher917020

@FactCheckAsia It was raised by Quaid A Azam and he was against the name india for exact same reasons . But our other freedom leaders weren’t visionary enough as Jinnah to resist the name of India given to them.

@ByRakeshSimha BJP is undercutting GC due to the confidence that they are not electorally relevant. Now you are saying they can make or break BJP. Make up your mind.

Worst case scenario due to anti reservation backlash: 1. Hindus vote NOTA or Congress in 2029. 2. BJP Govt goes down. 3. Congress-led coalition comes to power. 4. Congress expands reservations to Muslims and Christians. 5. Karnataka and Kerala models are implemented across India. 6. Congress brings reservations in private sector too. 7. Congress corruption destroys economy. 8. Pakistan launches terror attacks every 3 months. Prime Minister Mallikarjun Kharge won't retaliate. Says, "Diplomacy must be given a chance." And "terror has no religion." 9. Hindus vote BJP in 2039. 10. Hindus never learn.

@astr0solution @Ank_Akshay @sushantsareen Absolutely! Unless Americans face "death and destruction", they will not stop fomenting wars. This isn't about Trump. Reps or Dems, both are same. American hubris needs to be rubbed into the ground.

@Ank_Akshay @sushantsareen What could be more catastrophic and why are you worried if battles goes to American mainland? Is that a holy place and other people have to burn in hell? Let Trump also experience the fun of getting hit by missiles or do they have exclusive rights to bomb others for decades?

I could be wrong, but it is possible that Trumps latest ultimatum coupled with the targeting of Kharg Island, and Iran's warning to Arab states of targeting their infrastructure is signaling by each side to the other they arent ready to budge from their demands and want the other side to back down. This is brinkmanship so see who blinks first because whoever does, loses. Its a dangerous game of bluff by both sides who don’t want to go to the next level of hostilities, but neither has the space to back down without losing face, and more. Of course Trump could always TACO and extend the deadline.

@JontheTarHeel @DongwookRyu282 The rescue that was a liability. This was likely a planned ground op to take out the uranium, but got shorted due the F-15 ficsco. Explains why they had to pack up in a hurry and leave.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian: “Does threatening to send an entire nation back to the Stone Age mean anything other than a massive war crime? This was the question I asked my Finnish counterpart, who is a jurist. History is full of those who paid a heavy price for their silence in the face of criminals.”

@yarbatman @RangaSiyaar1 Geography feeds American hubris. Their own cities don't face the prospect of "death and destruction". They will stop the war only when their public opinion is "moved" by sorry pictures of children.

Iranian leaders have achieved operational success in externalizing the costs of this war. But their *strategy* still failed because they did not anticipate three things. First, that U.S. allies, including the Gulf states that have so lavishly fetted Trump, would have essentially no influence over the decisions he makes. Second, that neither the U.S. president nor his cabinet would care about unprecedented disruptions in the global economy and would make it known publicly that they don’t care. Third, that the U.S. president could express glee about the prospect of endless escalation and the commission of war crimes and not a single part of the famous American system of checks and balances would block him from intensifying this idiotic, ruinous war. In the face of Israeli and American aggression, Iran chose a perfectly rational, if risky, strategy. They managed to make it work operationally. But Trump’s pursuit of this war is fundamentally irrational. He is a mad king. Rex interregnum.

@TheNavroopSingh Iran is being kind to India for old times sake. Or probably because India is a nuclear weapons state. That is an achievement handed from previous govts. Otherwise Modi's "foreign policy" has led nowhere.

New Delhi Flipped.. Cracked open Hormuz in Diplomacy with Tehran ! And the rest is history ! Today we have Russia, China, France VETO Arab sponsored UNSC resolution to use military force to open Hormuz. France has categorically stated that talks with Iran is only way ! Poor UAE & Saudi Arabia failed to read tea leaves !

Navroop Singh@TheNavroopSingh

Overnight Americans & Israeli’s have turned Iran into a major regional power from Pariah State by handing it control of a strait from where 20% of world Oil passes ! This war will truly herald American Empire’s Decline ! Total Hubris by the ruling elite in Washington. Killing people, breaking bridges coz ur unable to open Hormuz is an admission of catastrophic failure of strategy in this war ! Total incompetence of American & Israeli military on how to solve this out, went into this war with no defined objectives, exit ramps & underestimated asymmetrical warfare done by Iran. For Iran mere survival against this brute force is a victory, and here you have given them control of world’s 20% oil trade route, millions unsanctioned for oil, a Khamenei replacing a khamenei with more IRGC hardliners in power now than at starting of this war. Very interestingly in the midst of all this India was the first country to break ranks, the only naval power worth its salt after China in Indo-Pacific to negotiate with Iran and sail its ships through Hormuz ! That signalled the countries of Global South & Europe that Iran is a rationale power that it does not wish to punish all for crimes of USA & Israel’s illegitimate war ! As a result, London, Paris, Brussels all broke up with Washington on Iran, rather than bailing US out they took the cue from New Delhi for talks with Iran to open Hormuz or allow its ships to sail through. Berlin went a step ahead directly paged China for help with Tehran. Very soon Arab countries will realise this too, that siding with America in hope to get a degraded Iran is gonna backfire on them with heavy cost to be paid economically and strategically. Qatar has realised this, but UAE & KSA are still figuring this out. The Arabs are equally caught in bind, they cant be seen to be siding with Israel in a war against Iran after what IDF did in Gaza or what its doing in Lebanon now. At the same time the fact is that Iran’s regime will remain intact with some suzerainty over Hormuz. Its a nightmare for Arab states and a reality that will make them livid at United States & Israel for not being able to execute this war professionally. Donald Trump by his ego & hubris has truly broken the aura of invincibility of American supremacy in the world. The world no longer seeks America’s approval for trade. London in that meeting of 35 Countries just announced exactly that where India was also a participant. Lloyds of London just gave a nudge, which Russia and China grabbed asking Iran to control that strait and giving America its Suez Moment !

Netanyahu is destroying the whole global economy for his disastrous war in Iran ! Today ur LPG is expensive, Oil expensive, ur people in GCC could lose jobs & remittances is all because of that crazy war monger in Tel Aviv who sabotaged Negotaitions in Oman & Geneva when we had a good deal at hand ! It is Israel which funded & backed Trump in 2016 not the Russians as Dems had us believe. It is Bibi who asked is protege Donald Trump to rip apart JCPOA, kill Qasem Soleimani setting the stage up this battle ! It is Israel which took the escalation ladder hitting Tehran Oil Deport, South Pars Gas Field, Bushehr Nuclear Plant, Power Grid etc making Iranian retaliation possible. It is Israel which is assasinating leaders like Ali Larijani to scuttle any off ramps & negotiations. Because US president Donald Trump is compromised by mosaad ! Dont take my word but read the relevant portion from FBI Document in Epstein Files

This leak isn’t accidental. Everyone is distancing themselves from the war. Soon it will be some disembodied participant in a Signal chat that turns out to have launched it. I can’t help but wonder if there’s a more embarrassing excuse that “Netanyahu misled Trump” — we’re talking about the President of country with the world’s premier military and intelligence capabilities being led by the nose like some clueless toddler when he has at his disposal all the fucking information and assessments he needs.

After watching Iran strike the Dimona nuclear facility, IT REALLY WORRIES ME that they will target the Soreq Nuclear Facility and Palmachim Air Base. The base holds Jerhico missiles and F16 fighter jets that carry the nuclear-capable Popeye cruise missiles. 🙏 Peace 🙏

Yes the Middle East is gravely disturbed and likely for a very long time, BUT… Is Iran less capable of carrying out terrorism in Israel today than it was last month? Yes. Is Iran less capable of enriching uranium today than it was last month? Yes. Does Iran have fewer long-range missiles today than it did last month and is it less capable of replenishing than it was last month? Yes. Is Qatar less capable of funding antisemitic propaganda on American campuses today than it was last month? Yes. If you are Israel, these 4 “yeses” alone justify whatever amount of instability you bring to the region. Even if the “less” were marginal, and it isn’t marginal. No self-respecting nation would place your debauched idea of “humanity” above self-preservation, no self-respecting nation should. If you are not willing to pull all stops to diminish your enemy’s capability to hurt you unprovoked, you do not deserve your sovereignty.

@Shuks80 @parthpunter @tjoseph0010 Some of my close friends of young age too died during that time. Large-scale Covid casualties happened after mass vaccination rolled out in March 2021. It was absolutely unnecessary, when everything had gotten back to normal and most people had been already exposed to Covid.
