Can anyone identify a college/university in the US that's making real, sustained systemic and institutional changes for equity & justice? I don't mean little mitigative things like optional student programs, but big, fundamental changes. @MVanderMale

So if an author wanted to gather some classrooms together for a free zoom visit to maybe hear an author read from one of her many challenged books, what would be the best platform? #ReadBannedBooks

As we prepare to secure a location for our brick n mortar. Tell us what you love about bookstores & what we should have on deck. For us, it’s comfy Reading chairs / nooks randomly placed so we can sit & read at the drop of a hat. How about you? 👀

I recently wrote an article for Dystinct Magazine. 'Three Common Mistakes We Make When Teaching or Parenting a Child with Dyslexia (and what they tell us about ourselves)'. Written for both educators and caregivers, it aims to share ideas for realistic next steps.

YES! GNs are a format NOT genre. I don’t have a single GN bin in my classroom library. (I realize this is different) They’re all integrated across author, series & genre shelves!

New change in our library that may be unpopular w/ librarians but is working really well w/ my Ss. We’ve eliminated our graphic novel section and integrated titles into Fic and NF areas in our elementary library. Why? (Short 🧵)
