All the 1 bedrooms available for under $2.5k in Oakland. And these are new builds, not some 1900 lead filled walls. I think people are overlooking Oakland. Your commute will be faster in some cases when compared to living in S.F.

Went and saw @BackroomsMov. Should’ve been called Whackrooms. The unbearable stench of wasted potential. Whole theater couldn’t stop laughing. Miss me with the “it’s a metaphor!” mess - the original series understood metaphor & narrative, this “version” merely smashes you over the head with a whiffle bat labeled “STORY”, like therapist-lady (a character so bland I refuse to remember her name) smashing Crack Sparrow’s [more on him in a sec] peg leg with a coatrack to defeat him… (& I so wish that last sentence, too, was said in jest; no, that’s taken directly from the “cLiMaCtiC” showdown towards the very end. sorry for any spoilers, I guess…?) @Kanepixels7 (if that is your real account) - they did you dirty. @tsumugi_meow they're pretty different but both still called gravy because they are made the same way. made in a saucepan -for beef gravy you use bullion cubes and then add flour and butter til you get the right texture. (1/2)

My son said he wanted one thing for his 17th birthday. He wanted me to recreate the sauce and breading for the fried chicken at raising canes, watermelon, and an Oreo cupcake with an absurd amount of frosting.

lot of meandering for a 90-minute film. never goes anywhere. i think the issue is that it seems to have all this potential that never actualizes into something impressive or scary but it’s trying so hard to convince you that THAT is the horror itself.

@tritlo i'm surprised someone hasn't made a euro version that is essentially one of those mini splits but vertical-and-window-fit instead of horizontal and wall mounted. i agree - hundreds of millions to be made.

@burnerDevAcct I don't care about efficiency, the unit is much more powerful than needed to cool my office. I want something more practical that can sit in the window and not take up so much space

if someone invented a way to make this more practical, they’d be so rich

@tritlo if you search Amazon for "portable air conditioner window seal" these could possibly help but yeah - still a bit of a pain and eyesore.

@burnerDevAcct yeah and there is a roof underneath. a geometric challenge to getting a split AC, but I'm working on it
