Our Mayor has delayed this by 18 months already, and nearly did it again.
Thanks to all of you, she backed off, and compromise language was reached; but it still requires another year of even more studies and outreach.
Now she’s trying to take credit. 🙄

Replace all the politicians on LA Metro with mainly experts in engineering, law enforcement, and finance
I don't think the status quo of having board members be politicians who are pressured into enacting terrible policies regardless of whether they're good or transit is ideal

Among the many reasons to hate the current Pershing Square is there so many weird obstructions and blind spots along the park that make you feel unsafe and not visible from the street or sidewalk. Basic park design stuff that has worked for thousands of years

It’s very important that safe streets and bicycle advocates stop using “protected” when talking about flimsy plastic posts that crumble with a small gust of wind.

@streetsforall Where’s the protection? All I see is plastic sticks. That’s considered separated. If you mislabel infrastructure like this we will never get actual protected bike lanes.

@bigknockinnuts I get that, I just think because Crenshaw is such an important (and historic) artery of the city and the buses on that street connect to three different train lines it would make sense to have a station there
