NEWS: ASML CEO Christophe Fouquet singles out Starlink as one of the most fascinating chip demand drivers he sees in the market today. "We talk a lot about chips, humanoids and self-driving cars. But all those products have to be connected to data," Fouquet told Reuters. Starlink's satellite constellation requires chips at scale. As the network grows toward tens of thousands of satellites, it represents a significant and recurring source of semiconductor demand that most analysts overlook.

NEWS: ASML CEO Christophe Fouquet says Elon Musk's TeraFab chip plant is a serious project that would stretch global chip toolmaker capacity for years to come. "He's very serious about all those projects," Fouquet told Reuters, confirming he has spoken directly with Musk. TeraFab is designed to supply Tesla, xAI and SpaceX with chips at a scale that would represent one of the largest semiconductor manufacturing buildouts in history.

@BernieSanders This is the epitome of hypocrisy. AI advancement is the single most important thing to make civilization thrive, whereas Congress tends to do the opposite. “Billionaires” doing more for us than “politicians”

70% of Americans think AI is moving too fast. 77% think entire industries will be eliminated. 97% say AI safety should be subject to rules. Maybe, just maybe, it’s time Congress listened to the American people — not just the billionaires pushing it — and regulated AI.

It bears repeating: you cannot seriously be an AI and technology enjoyer while fully aligning with today’s left. The modern left has become the political home of anti-technology, deceleration, overregulation, and reflexive AI panic. Every major leap forward is treated as a threat first and an opportunity second. AI should be seen as one of the greatest tools for abundance, medicine, education, productivity, and human flourishing. Instead, much of the left talks about it like it’s mainly a labor threat, a misinformation machine, or something that needs to be slowed down before it can change too much. At some point, you have to choose: progress or stagnation. Acceleration or fear. Building the future or endlessly trying to regulate it out of existence.

Sanders and AOC introduced a bill to pause ALL AI data center construction. 300+ local bills filed. Half of planned 2026 data centers facing delays or cancellation. Each one brings billions to local economies. The people who say they want American jobs are trying to block the biggest job creation engine since the interstate highway system.

@MattWalshBlog In the interim, things like UHI and perhaps companies pushing for MORE jobs to increase $ per employee will be likely (for companies capable of doing so) Pretty much End game is we won’t have jobs. You can thank the Sun for that. Work = Energy, Energy = Sun. Sun = Free (I think)

@MattWalshBlog i.e. ~10% of workforce layoffs in Big Tech now. That’s troublesome, even w/ the generous severance packages. In the long term, the whole idea of jobs is hard to grasp for many, including you. Civilization leveling up to Type II allows for work as we know it today to be optional

Big Tech companies are sprinting forward, building data centers as fast as they can, sometimes using eminent domain to seize the land by force, making their AI more and more powerful, expanding the technology at lightening speed with no guardrails of any kind at all. Yet none of these tech gurus or any of their apologists have even attempted to explain what exactly all of the millions of people who lose their jobs, and the increasing numbers who lose their homes, all sacrificed on the AI altar, are supposed to do. How does society support millions of unemployed and displaced people? What becomes of a society where algorithms and machines do everything, and a few people become trillionaires while millions more lose everything? There is no answer to any of this. They aren’t even attempting to answer it. Instead we’re simply told that China exists and we have to “beat them” in some unspecified way, in order to achieve some unspecified goal. We’re going to obliterate entire industries, entire categories of jobs all at once, and the only justification anyone can give is “China.” It’s madness.
