@ryanbrymer Essential listening as far as I’m concerned. If you don’t wanna do a deep dive The Stranger is one whole album giving a shot. Or his greatest hits which is a great range of his work.

Billy Joel. I've never really listened. I know a few songs. Am I missing out? Do I need to go on a deep dive? I lump this in with like late-80s adult contemporary that I just don't know anything about - alongside like Phil Collins.

@swordnsong15 Record technically means a recorded work. A single is a record. An EP is a record. An album is a record. The Grammy for best record is awarded to the best job capturing audio, producing a recorded work, ie a record.

Curious again: Why do musicians refer to albums as "records," especially in reference to their own? Even the musicians of #CCMTwitter do it LOL.

Some years later, the replies had generally changed to something like, “Dude. We have three bands playing at our church every Sunday.”

@ImCliffordToday -Most teens don’t listen to Christian 🎵 -most churches aren’t looking to book shows that aren’t worship -the indie christian scene is probably hard to get artists organized together & draw enough of a crowd -the cost isn’t worth the effort or prioritization to church or artist
