@IanJon407 @MatthewStadlen @Jonathan_Hinder That’s not an argument. Councils, pensions etc are not subsidies. However, i don’t disagree the welfare state needs radical reform - I’d start by cutting payments to anyone who isn’t a national citizen of the UK.

@busybee8009 @MatthewStadlen @Jonathan_Hinder subsidising businesses for long term gain can be a very beneficial. not what i was talking about. i was arguing that if we made reform/Brexit areas independent we should end all subsidies to those areas including councils, pensions, PIP, etc.

The Brexit Derangement Syndrome is off the scale at the moment. Reform (formerly known as the BREXIT PARTY) just swept to victory across working class areas. Response? Oh, it’s obviously time to rejoin the EU… Do these people even believe in democracy?
