Doc , do the simple math. Out of 4.8 cr votes, 1.18 cr are bw 18-30. 90% of youngsters are saying they'll vote for Vijay. Have you seen any youngster say they're voting for 🍃or 🌄? Hand on heart. If that's the case, Vijay starts with 1 cr votes. That's 20% voteshare.

Vijay has so far shown no inclination for hard work, which is critical for success in politics. I know the rules of the game are different for charismatic persons 😊
More important, beyond whipping up anti-DMK sentiments, he hasn’t offered any new vision for TN. Still, Vijay & TVK cannot & should not be ignored.
Why? ⬇️
🔴 Popularity matters in politics. I reckon Vijay is the most popular person in TN right now by a mile. People look at him as one of their own. The organic nature of the love has overwhelmed, even Vijay.
🔴 The hunger & energy of the youth behind Vijay. They are not only mostly from poor families; they also carry the fire of the youth yearning for political power, which is exclusively reserved for the rich & dynasts in both ADMK & DMK.
🔴 Even though Vijay hasn’t criticised BJP the way many secular people would want, it is important to note he has rejected BJP’s advances for an alliance. Not negotiating with BJP for Jananayagan release was brave. If he continues to remain strong vs the elephant in the room, TVK could be the bulwark against BJP, which ADMK can never be.
