@SAPSAN_CYBERSEC Latency on RTX 3050ti: 4M FFT: ~40ms (25 fps) 64M FFT: ~500ms (2 fps) USB not the bottleneck - HackRF delivers 160 MB/s, GPU can process 10x that rate. The limit is FFT compute time + memory BW. Persistent GPU allocations mean zero malloc overhead.

@sylvain_azarian @bvernoux The RTX 5090 lacks RDMA support, and even if it did. To achieve parity with the DGX, you’d also need to invest an extra 2,000 USD in a ConnectX-7 Dual 200G, along with 1,000 USD for other components. This brings the total to 4,500 USD with a much more expensive shipping cost.

@luigifcruz If they removed the 200Gb NIC, it could be significantly cheaper and more appealing. Most frustratingly, it was originally priced at $3K but launched at $4K after being delayed by several months.

@bvernoux I’m aware of the memory bandwidth limitations, and they are irrelevant for this project (we have the Coyote platform (800G NIC, 6TB/s VRAM) for performance). This project is all about the smallest and cheapest form factor desktop ~development~ box with an integrated NIC and GPU.

Been tinkering with a web app to track Starlink DTC satellites using a 4x4 phased array at 1992.5 MHz. Starlink’s fast-moving, numerous satellites are perfect for testing dynamic beamforming. The app calculates orbital positions, picks the most optimal satellite to track, and visualizes it all with polar plots, azimuth/elevation charts, elevation predictions, ground tracks, and a 3D phased array sim.
