@Angry_Staffer Twitter has become endless repetition and defense of Republican talking points.
English

@jasonbmello @AdamKinzinger Much like blaming it solely on Biden is the easy way out. Spirit asked the Trump administration for a bailout and they said no. Why isn't that a factor?
English

@bvisger @AdamKinzinger As he walks out the door with millions. Every major airliner is dealing with fluctuating fuel costs. Blaming it on this is his scapegoat way out.
English

@Barbara31465268 @SRuhle The CEO of Spirit said they had reached an agreement with bondholders but skyrocketing fuel prices forced them to fold. Additionally, Spirit asked the Trump administration for a bailout and they said no. Lots of factors, but Trump is hardly blameless
English

@jasonbmello @AdamKinzinger "However, the sudden and sustained rise in fuel prices in recent weeks ultimately has left us with no alternative but to pursue an orderly wind-down of the company." (2/2)
English

@jasonbmello @AdamKinzinger The CEO had a different statement.
Spirit's CEO Dave Davis said: "In March 2026, we reached an agreement with our bondholders on a restructuring plan that would have allowed us to emerge as a go-forward business." (1/2)

@CLTBlueDevil You believe he's a guy you needed to get rid of and we believe he's got a skill set and size to fit a missing piece in our system. Seems like a win-win scenario to me.

@JamarVip It's easy for people to be critical behind a keyboard. I just wish people would do it with respect and civility.

@GmingClipz I get your point, but bringing the whole US into it notably leaves places like Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Los Angeles out of the running.
English

@GmingClipz By the same logic, UConn teams were unlucky in 90, 94, 96, 98. All top 5 AP end of season polls, but never got to the Final Four. If the times UConn won the tournament was luck, then those seasons must be "unlucky."
English

@Maureen55 @magee_jason @swd2 @StinaSternberg @grok More employers are shifting to a larger proportion of part-time (under 30 hours per week) employees to avoid paying benefits. People string together multiple part-time jobs, still no benefits. Not lazy, having to pay for health insurance themselves can create food insecurity
English

@magee_jason @swd2 @StinaSternberg @grok How do you know they don’t have jobs? Many folks who live below the poverty line work 1 or more jobs just to try to keep up with their monthly bills.
English

Hey @grok, how much would it cost to feed every child in the United States breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a day?

@BarstoolBigCat No question, Duke is a solid team. In 1999, people were calling the tournament "the Duke Invitational" and they still lost. Anything can happen in the tournament.
English

@Nebraska_Chase @Zayngive_s There is absolutely no way you could predict the twist.
English

@Zayngive_s "sorry to bother you" easily has one of the most bizarre twists that will leave you shocked but somehow impressed that they pulled it off.

@GoudasNicholas @Kosher_Weaver @captainjanks There have been plenty of Presidents whom I didn't agree with their policy stances of both parties, but I believed they were guided by the Constitution and what they thought was best for the country. I believe Trump's primary motivation is about elevating his standing or wealth
English

@GoudasNicholas @Kosher_Weaver @captainjanks So you start by asking why he was liked until he joined the Republican party, someone responds and tells you that they never liked him and the reasons why and then you essentially respond with "it isn't about liking (buddy)." Your question and response are contradictory.
