@Niwavictor @2008gomu @CelestinoGutirr @UgandaPhysician @MinofHealthUG @DianaAtwine @AKasingye @DrBalukuJoseph @josephokia @SemitalaFred @rkalyes1 We gave her our donated doses of Actilyse (alteplase) which is a thrombolytic agent used as an emergency IV Rx to dissolve blood clots in acute ischaemic stroke, acute MI and PE. However its the last dose. She is lucky. I will apply for the grant again for this drug.

@KusienyaKelvin You know ball. At a certain point instead of adding more sutures to control the hemorrhage, you pack the abdomen and monitor in ICU. I have done this for DIC patients and they have gone on to improve.

It's hard to describe how much I hated this movie. The whole thing makes Hollywood egomaniacs feel like they are the resistance when in reality they are the rich people, wearing single use $20,000 outfits, talking down to staff, OD’ing on Ozempic and generally being the most resource-consuming, selfish, narcissistic people on the planet. But ok, sure, you’re revolutionaries in Chanel and Balenciaga with a face full of filler and Botox!

Surgery resident @AaronGilani asked why people close the fascia of trocar sites with a figure-of-eight suture instead of a horizontal mattress. Let us look at these briefly via one of my experiments. (1/ )

I need @rbarbosa91 perspective on why everyone closes small facial sites with a single figure-of-eight, even though it’s a hemostatic suture pattern, as opposed to, for example, a horizontal mattress.
