@AirCanada what is going on with your flights to Dublin. AC800 had over an hour delay loading cargo last night and then got damaged in the process having to cancel. You re-schedule the flight AC2100 for today and change my wife’s seat and now delay it over an hour.

@mgeist @acoyne People or rather many journalists and supporters of bill C-18 seem to forget that Facebook and Google all thrived before people, and news outlets, started posting news article links which drove traffic to said news outlet websites. It is not the raison d’être of these platforms.

The Australian news bill architect recommends that the Canadian government pass regulations to mandate Google block links to all news worldwide if they won’t link to Bill C-18’s eligible news business content. This is who the government takes advice from? twitter.com/TorontoStar/st…

#Opinion: News media content is essential for Meta and Google platforms. Journalism benefits society in many ways, even for those who do not access it, as it holds the powerful to account, provides a journal of record and is a forum for ideas. trib.al/tuOKviW

Refusing to give up on a failing plan is not an act of resilience. It's a display of rigidity. Grit is not about persevering with a route that isn’t working. It’s about staying focused on a goal but flexible on the path. Healthy persistence requires peripheral vision.

This song is an ode to a window in my childhood when the world felt simple, and unfettered & unfiltered joy was still easily accessible. A time when Hulk Hogan defeating Andre the Giant meant that everything was going to be okay for ever & ever. New Wolfie’s Just Fine album 6/16

This beer is pretty good. Ice cold. Not sure why it gets a bad rap. Cheers and happy Victoria Day weekend. 🍺

@ctvottawa This was done in California and many people just dumped their garbage in ditches and empty lots. It was a huge disaster that caused a bigger mess and cost the state more money.

As we reported Friday, negotiations for PSAC’s Treasury Board bargaining units resumed and carried on into the weekend. Our bargaining teams negotiated late into Saturday evening and have continued this morning. Talks are also ongoing with Canada Revenue Agency. 1/4
