Nothing you build ever goes to waste because: 1) You can always use things you built in previous projects in new, unpredictable ways 2) The capacity, skills, and specific knowledge you have now is much greater than the previous version of you who built the first project

Ok, I decided to try the first "ai travel planner" on google, and the result is unsettling: the ai assistant gets in a loop for free form queries after going for the pre defined queries, the ui transform itself into a confusing set of: ai chat box, TikTok style videos and a map

reading another book on AI/Agent patterns, and it's kinda intriguing that every implementation example comes down as a "travel planner" implementation, although I haven't seen one AI solution that implement the full travel planning workflow seamlessly

so the younger me that wrote full books on alternative endings for superheroes tv shows was into something? 🤔

@dhruvalgolakiya But how can we tell that it's "close"? Most of those companies doesn't even disclose full revenue. SensorTower looks like a rough estimation based on pricing/reviews/downloads. But is it really THAT accurate?

People use sensortower and this apps ( including myself ) for research and all it's good as well maybe it's not accurate but most of the time it's close

I’m genuinely curious - how is this revenue data collected? thinking of building something similar (not the same), but can’t figure out the data source is it scraped or just estimated from downloads/reviews?

Software engineers are the next travel agents. And this is coming from a former software engineer. I realize this will probably trigger some people, but if I was in the field I would be getting really really specialized into AI or become great at product.
