Brickadia has its own problems like Roblox. We just do not know about them.
Brickadia 🧱 | Early Access Out Now! 🌟@brickadiagame
The BEST way to demonstrate our upcoming physics destruction feature in Brickadia:

@Peteralm_ For manually tweaking value nobody wants to interpret RGB in 0-1. This has nothing to do with constructors and everything to do with design UX

@MrChickenRocket Is there a reason you didn't use Roblox's built-in file sync?

@thsottiaux The mobile app "Follow Up" feature doesn't work. It doesn't let me send.

@ropug_dev The initial wording of this post is misleading. This is to publish to ALL AGES in which there should be a barrier to do so.

‼️This is absolutely insane.
Roblox now expects small developers to pay 100,000 Robux just to bypass eligibility requirements and release their games.
---
Here's what smaller developers are now facing:
➡️ Pay 100,000 Robux (over $350 USD after DevEx value) to bypass the requirements and release your game.
OR
➡️ Don't pay, and your game gets automatically pushed to 16+ if it doesn't accumulate 100+ hours of playtime within a 30-day period.
And here's the craziest part: this doesn't just affect new games.
A game you released years ago could suddenly become 16+ if it drops below that 100-hour threshold during any 30-day window. That effectively removes access for a huge portion of Roblox's player base (75%).
So how are developers supposed to QA test, soft launch, iterate, or build an audience from scratch?
I actually like the idea behind Roblox Kids and Roblox Select. I even understand charging a reasonable fee to publish games.
But 100,000 Robux is not a reasonable fee.
This doesn't hurt large studios. They can launch a game and instantly attract players. They don't have to worry about hitting engagement thresholds.
This hurts:
• Small studios
• Indie developers
• Hobbyists
• New creators trying to break into the industry
And what problem does this realistically solve?
The argument seems to be that limiting access to smaller games helps prevent predators. But with 132 million daily players, bad actors aren't magically disappearing because smaller games are restricted.
If they can't access one game, they'll move to another.
Roblox has already invested heavily in safety:
• Parental controls
• Age-gated experiences
• Platform segmentation
• Additional publishing requirements
At some point, parents also need to be aware of what their children are doing online.
What's most concerning is that I haven't seen many large developers speaking up about this. They aren't affected by it. But the next generation of developers is.
If this isn't reevaluated, we'll see fewer indie successes, fewer new studios, fewer opportunities, and ultimately fewer jobs in the Roblox ecosystem.
Small developers are the future of this platform. We shouldn't be pricing them out of existence.

@PoptartNoahh I get it I guess 🤷🏽♂️ idk. I just see a lot of games especially on Roblox have it and It makes me sick personally 😭
English

why do roblox/indie fps game makers love this stupid head bobbing mechanic. it's just a motion sickness nightmare. almost worse than motion blur. it does not add realism 😭

V0.03 is out Thank you all for playing, 4M plays today is crazy considering this just came out. Despite the game not really being designed for FFA it was popular immediately lol #robloxdev #roblox #gamedev

Can we agree that 50% of devforum users are bots tasked with replying negatively to any official update post...

@MaximumADHD I don't even understand how this update is receiving the amount of backlash it is
English

Maybe I just grew up or maybe Roblox got bigger, were announcement threads on the devforum always filled with such obnoxious childish replies?

I don't think I'd have the patience to respond to people in there.

@plasma_node You can't even save the new User datatype in a datastore (which you could with UserID) 😭
