‼️This is absolutely insane. Roblox now expects small developers to pay 100,000 Robux just to bypass eligibility requirements and release their games. --- Here's what smaller developers are now facing: ➡️ Pay 100,000 Robux (over $350 USD after DevEx value) to bypass the requirements and release your game. OR ➡️ Don't pay, and your game gets automatically pushed to 16+ if it doesn't accumulate 100+ hours of playtime within a 30-day period. And here's the craziest part: this doesn't just affect new games. A game you released years ago could suddenly become 16+ if it drops below that 100-hour threshold during any 30-day window. That effectively removes access for a huge portion of Roblox's player base (75%). So how are developers supposed to QA test, soft launch, iterate, or build an audience from scratch? I actually like the idea behind Roblox Kids and Roblox Select. I even understand charging a reasonable fee to publish games. But 100,000 Robux is not a reasonable fee. This doesn't hurt large studios. They can launch a game and instantly attract players. They don't have to worry about hitting engagement thresholds. This hurts: • Small studios • Indie developers • Hobbyists • New creators trying to break into the industry And what problem does this realistically solve? The argument seems to be that limiting access to smaller games helps prevent predators. But with 132 million daily players, bad actors aren't magically disappearing because smaller games are restricted. If they can't access one game, they'll move to another. Roblox has already invested heavily in safety: • Parental controls • Age-gated experiences • Platform segmentation • Additional publishing requirements At some point, parents also need to be aware of what their children are doing online. What's most concerning is that I haven't seen many large developers speaking up about this. They aren't affected by it. But the next generation of developers is. If this isn't reevaluated, we'll see fewer indie successes, fewer new studios, fewer opportunities, and ultimately fewer jobs in the Roblox ecosystem. Small developers are the future of this platform. We shouldn't be pricing them out of existence. #Roblox #RobloxDev #RobloxDevs #RobloxNews @Roblox_RTC @Roblox

I seriously don’t know if I will make it out of this heatwave alive. My room is the hottest in my entire house by far, and my parents REFUSE to let me buy a portable AC unit because they say its a “waste of money” as if it’s not gonna be the thing that will stop me from getting heatstroke. My windows don’t open very much and I don’t even have a shitty fan. I barely pulled through the last 30C heatwave, and now in London its going to be 10 degrees hotter. Right now its 25C and I’m already sweating immensely… I really don’t know what else I can do but its been a nice run guys

@w23bie not precisely, it would be playable if you meet engagement requirements. this just allows you to bypass requirements.

@ropug_dev Bro $350USD is already alot for american small dev but it’s worse for devs who live in different countries. If i had a small game on the platform, I’d have to pay over $2000 in my currency just for people to even see the game….This is genuinely bs

@ropug_dev I've already lost hope on being a dev.. 350 Usd is like a whole load of money in my area (1000-ish) and I only made what is like 1%-ish. BUT majority is used for important things so I will have far below half of that 1% Waste of effort, ig

@ropug_dev I can't even complete my star wars project now- I spent loads and loads off money for it and roblox do this? including being only showing for 16+ (star wars is for everyone). have 100,000 robux to spend to skip it. (I don't have that much money, spent alot as I said on the group)

Notable what I’ve seen from RTC from their post in their comments they noted that “If there are severe violations to the Community Guildlines then that 100k robux fee will not be recoverable (refunded). I don’t know what they will be using to review the game but if it’s Ai and not human this will cause many of problems.

as soon as i all of a sudden wanna make games heres the bullshit roblox does, my game gets NO visits anymore, which also means theres no point in promoting the game because the game only stays up when the promotion is up.
