The Lord of the Rings: The Shadow of the Past is NOT a sequel to the trilogy. That is outrage bait misinformation that is going out of control right now.
The scenes set 14 years after Return of the King are the framing device for the flashback, just like Bilbo preparing for his party was the framing device for the flashback to the events of The Hobbit sixty years earlier.
In the announcement video they literally say it’s based on six chapters from Fellowship of the Ring that deal with the Old Forest, Old Man Willow, and the Barrow-Downs.

@dillondavis3 When Bill was at Illinois he had bruising tough guys playing. He bounced KU from the tournament. I was mad he did that but never forgot about him. When Roy left, I was very worried. When they announced Bill had been hired I remember thinking we were gonna be good.

When Roy Williams left for North Carolina, #KUbball fans were worried we wouldn't be able to successfully replace him. Then we got Bill Self.
Not saying the next coach will accomplish what Self did, nor should we expect him to, but change can end up being okay sometimes.

@JayhawkFocus I remember where I was & what I was doing when 810 sports radio broke the news we had hired Self. I was ecstatic as one of his Illini teams knocked Roy’s boys out of the tourney & admired how he coached. 23 yrs later we’ve been witness to one of the greatest runs in MCBB.
