@muruzabalok @verbaluced @iAnonPatriot This is not my experience at all. Does Charlie have proof of this? Or is this just a GOP talking point. An 18 year old might not have been far enough along.

@verbaluced @iAnonPatriot Sowell in terms of his methodology and epistemology could be considered an “Austrian” economist like Mises, Hayek and Rothbard. Charlie’s point is spot on about how the most important advocates of free markets are not taught in most Universities.

@verbaluced @JaMikeyMike @iAnonPatriot The austrians, Marx, Keynes, and a huge dose of Milton Friedman were all in my economics courses a decade ago. It's so perplexing, bc Charlie's assertion is unfathomable. Have universities fallen off that much? Is there proof?

@canadianaco @Paer647191 @JJ_McCullough He might not have said it in that way, but he made a lot of enemies through insulting them outside of his on campus debates. For example, he called workers in the civil service weak, lazy, greedy, whiney, and said they gladly laugh and take taxpayer money while they do nothing.

Charlie Kirk was one of the most consequential political commentators of our time—certainly the most important his generation has so far produced. He was a man of extraordinary ambition and skill; someone who understood better than most how politics works in 21st century America.

Zelensky pulled out all of the stops: Framed Putin as a terrorist and killer Listed his demands, not requests, to Trump in front of the press Showed the press images of starved Ukrainians Tempted Trump with the possibility of being regarded as a hero and legend for defending Ukraine and stopping Putin Claimed that Russia will invade the Baltic and the US “will” send troops Responds to Trumps anti war sentiment with “they invaded our territory”

@CameronHig49568 @emilyjashinsky Idk. Zelenskyy kept interjecting his position about safety guarantees being needed for lasting peace. 80% of the questions were to Trump, with one of a few to Zelenskyy being "why dont you wear a suit?" Trump was fine. JD was the escaalator and embarrassed me. WWE diplomacy? 🤮

One of those times where you absolutely have to watch the full meeting and not just the highlights, otherwise you’ll be lost. Love him or hate him, Trump started the meeting by praising Ukraine. Before Zelensky turned to him, Vance started by saying Russia “destroyed” Ukraine. Zelensky decided to turn the meeting into a public spat. Maybe you think he was right to go on offense, but he was absolutely not ambushed.

@cenkuygur Cenk, what about Vance's conduct? I thought Trump behaved pretty normal until JD started demanding Zelenskyy thank Pres Trump. To me his public shaming made us look so weak. The US doesn't need to force that public humiliation to prove our strong position. Is this WWE diplomacy?

Two things can be true at the same time. Trump was strong and did stand up for America (and himself, too). But he might have done harm in the way he did it because it split our side and cost us leverage. The two sides are choosing to see what they want to see. It's both there.

Zelensky Oval Office visit is a Rorschach test. Right sees it as a strong American President standing up for our interests and demanding we be treated with respect. Left sees it as a bully, yelling at one of our allies and doing harm to our interests. I think they're both right.

@philoshua @emilyjashinsky I’d say when kept saying it happened when Trump was president - first of all it started before 2016 and 2nd, why would he insist on arguing about that in public, at the White House, while begging for US to help. Also kept saying he wouldn’t compromise with Putin. Hows that work?

@esaagar Honest question Saagar, can't it be true that (1) the aid for Ukraine needs to stop and (2) our President/VP behaved like they were producing a WWE recording? When the dust settles I hope you come to see just how weak this makes us look to humiliate them like this in public.

@elonmusk Mr. Musk, if the email was a trivial test, then why threaten my livelihood with this over social media on a weekend? What does that accomplish? I love this country and try to do the best I can for it. I don't take the weight of the position lightly.

The email request was utterly trivial, as the standard for passing the test was to type some words and press send! Yet so many failed even that inane test, urged on in some cases by their managers. Have you ever witnessed such INCOMPETENCE and CONTEMPT for how YOUR TAXES are being spent? Makes old Twitter look good. Didn’t think that was possible.
Matt Walsh@MattWalshBlog

I already had a low opinion of many federal workers but now that I’ve seen them all meltdown and cry because they’re expected to provide the faintest evidence that they’re actually accomplishing anything with the taxpayer funded job we’ve given them, I realize that my opinion of them was still somehow too high

@cheese_moon @MAGAks2089 @riffnrolll @tokcem @elonmusk The pros section makes it clear people there love those they work with. One of my coworkers joined bc a parent got sick & is fully dependent on them. Another switched so they could also work part time as a middle school basketball coach. Yea, that's definitely a tell. Granted, people are more likely to leave negative reviews on job sites since there's emotions involved and people are also using the site to find new positions. Still, to see several hundred reviews across the two companies is concerning. Some people are ready to take on that lifestyle, and I'd hope those expectations are set during the interviewing phases.

@cheese_moon @MAGAks2089 @riffnrolll @tokcem @elonmusk While I hope what you're saying is true, all we get from the Elon email address is harassment. For example, he sent an email a few weeks ago saying the country would be better off if we left our low productivity jobs. Here are the reviews on Glassdoor for Tesla and SpaceX.

Yep, I think this is reasonable. Judging by the folks who work at SpaceX, Tesla, and X, I'm assuming by and large, they're probably pretty happy with their jobs or else there'd be frequent and major backlash with the expectations at those places. Lacking that, I don't think there's any reason to think Elon is somehow suggesting 60-80 hour work weeks with absolutely no balance. While he's a workaholic himself (allegedly), I'd expect he would be recommending work conditions similar to his own companies, since it's familiar to him as a CEO. I don't think that's necessarily the right solution, but as a frame of reference, expecting a certain level of rigor within a 40-hour work week isn't foreign. But again, that's going to be really challenging if the job itself is soul-sucking because external forces aren't allowing you to get things done efficiently.

@cheese_moon @MAGAks2089 @riffnrolll @tokcem @elonmusk I took a big pay cut to not work overtime, to take a long lunch sometimes and not feel guilty about it. @cheese_moon @MAGAks2089 @riffnrolll @tokcem @elonmusk It was exhausting and the culture was bad. I joined it to escape that hell in public accounting and the culture was the same even tho the pay was 1/3rd less. Elon wants us all to live so that our lives are our work. Not everyone should have to live that way...
