@m_lubieniecki Yes. It is a matter of aiming to arrive on time to the next stop and minimizing the energy consumption. The optimal driving strategy is a combination of max acceleration, max brake, constant speed and coasting (control variable = 0)

Hay 11 sin contrato y yo únicamente renovaría a 1 seguro ( Iván Garcia Cortina) a 2 con * : Hessman y Tesfa

@InsideOut2912 Wrong strategy. You will not drop the top guys there. You need them to be out of the front of the peloton at Cipressa, while positioning is easier in a reduced group

Over the past few years, we’ve seen that no team has been able to hold front position all the way from the Capi to the Cipressa.
The key, imo, is that UAE needs to use the steepest 2 km of the race, Capo Berta, to thin out the peloton 🤷🏻♂️ 1/2

In the last 2 editions, UAE Team Emirates managed to position a total of 1 domestique at the foot of the Cipressa. Covi in 2024, then Wellens & Del Toro came to the front, Del Toro paced, and Wellens pulled the plug because they weren't able to make the Cipressa selective enough. Wellens in 2025, then Narvaez came to the front to launch. Don't underrate how much effort it costs to move up to the front while your teammate is hard-pacing the Cipressa. You also need the perfect wind situation, like last year, to make the Cipressa move stick throughout the valley. Next to that, Narvaez & Wellens are both injured and absent from #MilanoSanremo this year, so I don't have major confidence in the Cipressa being as selective as last year.
