Arrived in Amsterdam, Netherlands, this morning, where I was welcomed at Schiphol Airport by Hon. Anthony Ngugi Mayo, Deputy Head of Mission (DHM) at the Kenyan Embassy in the Hague. Later this evening, I was hosted by H.E. Hon. Halima Yussuf Mucheke, Kenya’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, at her official residence in The Hague. The Ambassador was in the company of DHM, Amb. Mayo. The European Union (EU) remains one of Kenya’s largest trading partners and a key destination for its horticultural and floricultural products, as well as tea and coffee. I look forward to engaging with various stakeholders to expand market access for Kenyan products, and thus boosting Kenya’s economy.

We have secured his body and preparations are complete for his return home. The aircraft carrying the body of this great son of Kenya is scheduled to land at JKIA at 9:30 am on Thursday, where he will be received by H.E. President William Ruto and the nation he so dearly loved. May his journey home unite us in reflection, respect, and shared love for our country. 🇰🇪

George Oduor, the driver of Kibra MP Peter Orero, has been fined Sh100,000 or one year jailterm for dangerously overtaking vehicles along Oloitoktok Road in Nairobi. He emphasized his commitment to ensure #operationalization and #budget allocation to provide end to end support to #GBV survivors.

Today, I had the honour of hosting civil society leaders who paid a courtesy call to my office. We had a fruitful fruitful discussion on strengthening the rule of law and advancing access to Justice in our beloved country. Civil society organisations are a critical partner in the Judiciary’s efforts to promote and protect access to justice in line with the Constitution and our blueprint, Social Transformation Through Access to Justice (STAJ). The right to access to justice can only be fully realised through collaborations that ensure justice is made available, affordable, responsive, and meaningful to all Kenyans.
