@mirkel I hear you, but only one of the decisions carries the potential for harm to others. Not sure I can see the masking equivalent of the AR-15 in public (or at all, for that matter). Just seems like a different spectrum of decision. Silly doesn't quite cover a lot of the gun toting.

@mirkel Certainly there is an element to virtue signaling in outdoor masking today, right now, but where I live people seem to be doing their best with the info they have in a fluid situation. Whereas I think there's a lot of info about guns in our society.

@mirkel Equating people who wore/wear masks outdoors, because it was suggested as a health and safety measure at one point, to people who open carry is a stretch. Only one of these groups of people has the potential to end a life if they feel "threatened." Not really the same ballpark.

@cmkshama @RecallSawantNow By the way I live in the district, and the recall signs almost exclusively adorn the lawns of million-dollar homes. I don't agree with what Sawant did, but I'm way more concerned about the state of our public areas and our broken policing system.

This @cmkshama/@RecallSawantNow recall effort in Seattle is a waste of time. If she broke laws during the protests, why is this the solution? (Same goes for Durkan and the SPD gassing people). Both groups should quit it and donate the money they've raised to housing.

As a co-op member I welcome a rethink of the leadership. Instagram turned outdoor pursuits into a consumerist lifestyle and this is one result. @REI should be leading the fight against the commodification and commercialization of the outdoors. This does the opposite.

When my healthcare provider website is processing online bill payments, their wait cursor is a heart with a beating EKG monitor line. Just a nice little reminder of the connection between by heartbeat and my ability to give them money.

Something's been bothering me: During international matches, EL footy commentators frequently refer to "a Swiss throw" or "a German free kick." And I wonder, how is a Swiss throw different from other throws? Interesting to consider, yes, but aren't they using bad grammar?
