You can't help but laugh at the irony- 1) Trump elected as the crypto president. 2) Trump pulls in $1.4 BILLION in crypto profits in 2025 from grift/scams/bribes. 3) Crypto legislature gets to the 1-yard line in Senate. 4) Dems are so pissed at how egregious the Trump grift/scams/bribes are, they want real teeth in the ethics provisions of the bill. 5) Trump refuses. Only agrees to super light ethics provisions. 6) Bill can't pass. Crypto legislature dies on the floor. The "crypto president" clears $1.4bn in crypto grift/scams/bribes (in year 1) and doesn't pass a crypto bill. Honestly exactly what the crypto industry deserves.

It’s hard for people to take on the responsibility of coming to their own conclusion. A lot of people never cared about Bitcoin beyond NGU. Those are the ones who sold BTC to buy MSTR stock. Who still blindly cheer Andy, Saylor and Core, lashing out against people pointing out the most obvious anti-Bitcoin behavior and words. But for those who care about Bitcoin… those who were fueled for years by the promise of separating money and state, and breaking the fiat chains enslaving mankind… those who experienced the Bitcoin ethos actually changing them for the better… They now need to take on this responsibility. Actually look at what is so blatantly in front of them. Coming to the uncomfortable conclusion. AND THEN STAND UP AND SPEAK OUT.

@worshipbitcoin So large companies donating to any other fund, which they do all the time and at FAR greater amounts, is fine, but if they donate to Bitcoin devs it's a conspiracy? Come on man. Funding devs is not = input on protocol decisions in any way and you all know it.

@BitmundFreud Well I'm not a fan of many corporations either. But Bitcoin, just like money, doesn't care about who spends or saves it. Bitcoin is for everyone and donations to development and maintenance doesn't not equal influence or decision-making over protocol changes.

@danheld @BTCconsortium Exactly. They're making money from Bitcoin, and Bitcoin is for everyone. If they want to donate to development and maintenance, that's a good thing, despite the narrative twisting the BIP-110 guys are trying to do.

@HodlMagoo People frame things anyway they want to align with their agenda. Dev funding is not, and has never been, = protocol decision making. The BIP-110 crowd are trying to manipulate the narrative.
