Legitimately living the dream of the scrawny 14-year-old hooper who fell in love with this game (I promise the bieber cut was in 😂). I figured basketball would stay part of my life through coaching and pickup, not turn into a chance to talk about my favorite thing every day. Then I posted that video of Coen Carr for to see if anyone would watch or comment and here we are!! What a season. Grateful for the access (shoutout to @Spartans_Illo ), the growth of the most knowledgeable basketball following on the internet, the countless encouraging comments and the milestones achieved. And shoutout to my beautiful, incredible wife, because without her support and patience there no chance I can watch the same game 3 times over. One shining moment perfectly ends the CBB season, but the best players in the world are getting into playoff mode and this is a stacked draft. Stay tuned and thank you.

Michigan 42 - Michigan St. 41 End of 1H First half takeaways. -MSU needs to be better on closeouts, too many open threes + driving lanes for Michigan. -MSU needs to find a way to stay away from the 1on1 post-game, 9 shots from Coop is too many in the first half. -I don't know how many players are better than Yaxel Lendeborg when he is hitting threes. -Scott and Teng activity level has been great, they are due for a huge half. -Carr needs to take advantage of mismatches more, Michigan is going small on him. -The trust that Morez Johnson has on defense is special. He is going to be a really good NBA player. -Michigan survived a lot of minutes with both bigs in foul trouble, Roddy Gayle is having a great game down low.

@Gbaby3331 @Spartans_Illo Just saying that going from under 20 MPG to 25 + could take a toll on someone production wise for one end of the ball when the responsibility and expectation goes up on the other. He’s handled it really well and the extended time on the floor hasn’t seem to change his effort.

I feel like that was the one thing we were sure of him. The question really was “will be be able to contribute on offense (make threes, consistent jumpers)

Today, on National Girls and Women in Sports Day, we at Spartans Illustrated are proud of the women on our team, we are proud to publish this poem by our own @sydneypadgetti, and we are proud of the young lady in the MSU press room last week who didn't back down when belittled. ... Recently, in a media room full of journalists, before coaches took to the podium, a man decided his impatience deserved volume. A woman held paper box scores, and he mistook her calm for permission. He raised his voice like a reminder of who he believed should bend first. But she didn’t. She stood. She answered. She claimed the space he assumed was already his. So he doubled down, tightened his tone, snatched the paper, choosing dominance over reflection. This isn’t about box scores that live perfectly well online. This is about the cost of walking into sports journalism with a woman’s body and a woman’s voice. It’s about being talked over, cut off, shrunk to the edge of the room. About doors dropped closed just fast enough to keep you out. About introductions repeated like you’ve never earned the right to be remembered. So today, on a day meant to honor women in sports, this is the reminder: Stand up. Take up space. Ask the question anyway. Lift the camera. Raise your hand. Raise your voice. You belong here. Not because they allow it, but because you are meant to be here.

Say what you want about Fears and drawing fouls, but here are two instances in nearly the first minute of play where "ethical" offensive aggression caused Indiana's starting PG Conor Enright to sit with 18:54 left in the 1st half. One of the many large and small ways he impacts winning. He's 42-11 in the last 2 years so yes he does a lot of winning.
