What I feared has indeed happened. What I dreaded struck my heart like a shock. Rainwater seeped into my tent until it reached my library and soaked the books. I tried to save them, but there were books I couldn’t reach in time, they were completely soaked and drowned in the water, and my heart drowned in sorrow with them. Twelve displacements, twelve escapes from fire and destruction, yet I managed to protect them every time. I moved between shells and bullets carrying them with me, not caring about anything else. I never imagined that the tent would betray me the way it did today. I am very sad. I have no words left to say.

More grim news from Gaza, the crime scene that never closes. No ceasefire -declared, imagined or hoped for- can shield Palestinian journalists from Israel’s violence. RIP Mahmoud Wadi.Solidarity to his family,or what remains of it. 225–250 journalists killed in Gaza in 750 days

Inexplicable discrepancies exist between Canadian government assurances that arms have stopped flowing to Israel, and both Israeli import data and publicly-available shipping records and tracking data. cbc.ca/news/politics/…

@Reboticant @agraybee I have watched numerous men make more money than I will make in my entire life just for their innate "manly" qualities and have been able to refrain from crashing out and hating them all. Most women do this too.

No mention of onlyfans. While most women aren't successful on it, every young man alive has now grown up watching a woman about their age make more in a year than they will in their entire lives. Look at the sort of content women put on tik tok. It's not surprising that jealousy of easy money for something they are born with has turned to rage.

Zoomer men are possibly the most misogynistic cohort I've ever seen. No generation of men gets a pass on this, but zoomers have whole elaborate theories of how women aren't people. They calmly discuss how women have no inner life. It's extremely chilling.

The 15-year-old boy from Samson Cree Nation who was shot and killed by RCMP Friday morning in Wetaskiwin, AB was Hoss Lightning. His maternal grandmother sent me this photo taken of him earlier this year (he’s asking his grandmother if he looks like his late grandfather in the photo he’s holding). He was loved and cherished by his family who are devastated. The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team is investigating. RCMP have told media Hoss had weapons on him (although anything could be considered a weapon and RCMP have not released details). Hoss had called 911 about an hour before he was killed because he was concerned for his safety and believed someone was following him. A kid. Alone walking around town. His life snuffed out like countless other Indigenous Peoples who are the victims of the highest police violence in Canada.
