@HabitualLinest @account_blown @ScottRoberts You have a bible in your native tongue thanks to Gods word and purpose.
Not because of any help by Rome.

66 or 73 books? Let's talk about this...
If we are going to talk about the canon of Scripture, we start here: God is not confused about His own Word. The Lord who speaks clearly is fully able to preserve and identify His revelation. The issue is not whether there is a canon, but whether we will recognize the one God has established. When examined carefully, the 66 books stand on a consistent and coherent foundation.
First, the Old Testament canon was already recognized in the time of Jesus. The Jews, entrusted with the oracles of God, had a defined body of Scripture known as the Law, the Prophets, and the Writings. This matches the 39 books we have today. The apocrypha was never included or treated as Scripture by them.
Second, neither Jesus nor the apostles ever quoted the apocrypha as Scripture. They quoted the Old Testament hundreds of times with authority, using phrases like "it is written." Yet they never did this with the apocryphal books. That silence is significant.
Third, the apocrypha contains historical errors and theological contradictions. It promotes ideas that conflict with the clear teaching of salvation by grace through faith. God does not contradict Himself.
Fourth, the early church did not universally accept the apocrypha. Leaders like Jerome rejected it as Scripture, making a clear distinction between inspired books and useful writings.
Fifth, the New Testament books come from apostles or their close associates and were recognized early by the church as carrying Christ's authority. The church did not create the canon, it recognized it.
Finally, the apocrypha was officially added by the Roman Catholic Church at the Council of Trent in 1546, long after the canon was already established. That timing matters.
Taken together, the 66 books reflect a unified, preserved, and God-breathed revelation. They expose sin, reveal Christ, and call us to faithin Him.
That is why the canon stands firm at 66 books.

How many books are in the Bible?
English

@HabitualLinest @account_blown @ScottRoberts Just one such example. There are many more
The early church did not teach and agree as “the church” as what later developed today.

@HabitualLinest @account_blown @ScottRoberts The apostles testified to each other already. No council made it authentic.
English

@calewis10 @account_blown @ScottRoberts Lol. No
Each book of Scripture had to agree with Catholic teaching to even get included in the Bible. If a book didn't agree with Catholic teaching, it didn't get put in the Bible
It's just your interpretation of the Bible that's wrong
English

@HabitualLinest @account_blown @ScottRoberts Rome didn’t hand us the Bible.
It was recognized as scripture already.
Some have twisted it and led many astray
English

@calewis10 @account_blown @ScottRoberts No. It's not like that at all. Try to use reason and logic and see if you can figure out how they are fundamentally different
English

@TNTJohn1717 Yup. Same story different script.
In primitive times, fallen angels got man to worship them and do horrendous acts opposed to God.
In an advanced scientific space age? It appeals to extra-terrestrials and beings from another world or dimension.

🚨‼️This does not move me the way some people think it should. If this story is true, it only confirms what Bible believers already knew. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places.
The Bible already told us there are non-human intelligences. We call them angels, fallen angels, devils, unclean spirits, principalities, and powers. The world can rename them “aliens,” “interdimensional beings,” or “our creators,” but changing the label does not change the spirit behind the lie.
And notice the trick: they want your eyes on them. That is always Satan’s method. Get your eyes off Jesus Christ. Get your eyes off the Book. Get your eyes off the blessed hope. Get you staring at the sky, the government, the disclosure, the craft, the creatures, the fear, and the mystery.
But the Church has already been told where to look: “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.” That is Titus 2:13.
If these things are coming, they are not coming as a surprise to God. They are not stronger than Christ. They are not greater than the word of God. And they are not able to prevail against the Church. Jesus said, “the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
That is why I do not panic over these stories. I watch. I discern. I compare Scripture with Scripture. But I do not tremble like a man without a Bible.
The Church is not looking for aliens. The Church is not looking for the Antichrist. The Church is not looking for strong delusion. The Church is looking for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Prophecy is real. Deception is real. But panic is not our calling.
Shadow of Ezra@ShadowofEzra
Pastors across the United States are now stepping forward and revealing they were briefed in a secret meeting with government officials about how to reveal the existence of aliens to their congregation. "They are preparing to tell us they are from another dimension and that they are our creators." "Go and tell the church they are not ready for what is coming."

@DougTenNapel "Bible-changing revelations." Oh, please. This is so derpy.

@ChristLifeInc1 @SergioRoa121914 @calewis10 @jmbrim3 You quote a holy book that was compiled together by a religion you denounce as false and antichrist.
Why preach a holy book that was brought together by a religion you and others denounce as antichrist???

If something is a fraud it looks worse over time.
The Book of Mormon only gets better and better as time goes on. I know it is true and the word of God.
All of the physical proof of its truthfulness is fun to learn about and receive but we don't need physical evidence to know it is true. That only comes from a witness of the Holy Ghost.
Neal A Maxwell said, “There will be a convergence of discoveries (never enough, mind you, to remove the need for faith) to make plain and plausible what the modern prophets have been saying all along.”
Thank you @latterdailyst for this thought!

@HabitualLinest @account_blown @ScottRoberts Likewise Rome has twisted scripture unrecognizable through its many traditions and false teachings.
English

@HabitualLinest @account_blown @ScottRoberts Just as Paul says in Acts 20:29-30
I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them.

@calewis10 @ChristLifeInc1 @jmbrim3 Your prayers are in vain. I can only be kicked upwards. Catholicism is much closer to the truth than any Protestant sect. Orthodoxy, closer still.

Jesus simply said
