This is a HUGE reason as to why Ilia Topuria is one of my all time favorites.

@KunathMMA Topuria kept on eating jabs all day. He was cut already by the end of Rd 1 and he didn’t care. He thought he could bate Justin into a reckless striking exchange. Justin instead fought a smart fight which is rare for him.

Justin Gaethje just outboxed Ilia Topuria, who viciously KO’d Holloway and Olivera who destroyed Gaethje. Predictions are worthless, tape study is worthless. We live in a world where Olivera can get the belt back somehow.

Justin Gaethje rejected the possibility of a rematch with Ilia Topuria. According to Gaethje, Topuria quit, and Justin completely dominated the fight.
Gaethje deservedly won the title, and now he is expected to take some time off.
By all accounts, his first title defense is likely to come against Arman Tsarukyan later this year.

He lost eye sight in 1 eye round 1 and lost sight to other eye in round 2. Explains him walking into everything and looking off he couldnt see but still continued to win round 2 shows the real fighter in him most people would quit the second the vision gon
