Why did the #VPD put out a public statement falsely stating that the Park Board cut funding for patrols, when no request was made or denied? Why did the Mayor's Office publish similar statements simultaneously? #FactsMatter #vanpoli
Howard Chow@DeputyChow

#VPD doesn’t set closing hours for parks & beaches. We assist in closing when required. Often when we don’t, we’re back later in the evening dealing with assaults & fights. Like most beaches around North America there are defined closing times. #SafetyAfterDark #FactsMatter

This is an official government account in a democracy. This is what Orbanism looks like. The president bragging, via AI video, that he forced a comedian who mocked him off the air and ‘into the trash’.

Everyone wants affordable housing. Both to build and live in. But slashing climate standards is a dramatic pivot away from our climate goals. I’m deeply concerned by the direction of city leadership. Come on. We can still build while also protecting our climate and residents.

It’s a toxic workplace characterized by knee jerk partisan pettiness - though I would highlight the thoughtful and attentive words of my colleagues Bligh, Maloney and Orr. Lost in this mess : council majority voted to ignore and abandon some if our city’s most vulnerable

Watched City Council last night. While everyone was waiting for the natural gas motion, a different one—about reinstating sex worker support—highlighted exactly how council has been operating lately straight.com/city-culture/h… @PtFry @seanorr @Lucyincanada

TeamPCP just did an interview where they were asked what defenders should do to stop supply chain attacks. Their advice: pin versions to a specific hash, use least-privilege tokens, restrict IDE extensions. And then, verbatim: "The company Socket will detect the malware before the package even reaches your machine." So... thanks, I think? We're not putting this on the testimonials page. But at the same time, if you're not yet using @SocketSecurity to protect your supply chain, what are you waiting for?
