I remember being a kid and being mesmerized by how much he was going to teach me and how I could be rich and successful. I then tried to buy one of his courses, but couldn’t find my debit card so I called I called my dad if he could help me and I’d pay him back. We then had a very valuable conversation about people like Tai Lopez. I think about that convo very often.

How much do you think this haircut cost? Before you guess, some context: this is NOT a prank. I went to a nice barber in Seattle, and no, she did not use a weed whacker. My instructions were "Tight fade blended in at the top." The cost of this haircut was $70 PLUS TIP (I didn't know the extent of how bad it was until I got home, so I gave her a tip). The whole haircut took less than 30 minutes. If this woman can charge almost $200 an hour for this monstrosity, you can probably rethink how much you are charging your clients.

I can’t wait to see the shift in education where everyone is applying to Y Combinator like experiences instead of a traditional university. So much more valuable.

I’m stepping down as President of Tandem Ventures It’s been a wild 3.5 years. Some highlights: - Built a venture firm from scratch 🧑‍🍳 - Raising $100m+ 💯 - Made 31 investments and counting 💸 - Did I mention we built a venture firm FROM SCRATCH?! 🏗️ It was on my wedding day that Tandem became official. @mckaydunn called @Alexwbean while we were taking family pictures to say he was all in. That was on a Friday, and we went to work on Monday! 😤 Starting something from zero is hard, but between Mckay’s expertise as an investor and Alex’s founder cachet, the wheels started turning. My job was to make sure the wheels stayed on the bus. By some stroke of luck, the stars aligned and @jimmerfredette Fredette joined Tandem to make us the best 3v3 basketball venture firm in Utah 😉But beyond balling out, Jimmer has been able to open doors never thought imaginable for both Tandem and the companies we invested in. It’s insane. I'm forever grateful Alex pulled me in to start Tandem. I’m also so thankful Mckay took me under his wing and taught me the ways of the VC. It’s been so fun building an amazing firm like Tandem. Working with people you enjoy being with is such a blessing. Choosing to leave Tandem has been an incredibly difficult decision 🥺 but I’m really excited about some upcoming opportunities. More to come on what is next… 👀 👀
