@boosulyn Clearing immigration using QR code is much faster than using passport. Now put that on scene of land border. Using passport to clear a car with 4 passenger will takes around 5-7minutes. Using QR code cut it down to 2mins. Its efficiency we talk about.

@fazleyff That machine is really capable of open-payment. Backend not ready because no settlement scheme. The ICPS program stalled since PH1.0. KTMB moved on because their ticketing system was obsolete and due for a refresh anyway. Prasarana is definitely next to do it.

Why do the RapidKL buses use PayWave logo instead of a TnG logo? This will confuse new users / tourists getting on.

@TravelJimat Mesin tu memang open-payment ready. But takde PKI key for the settlement house for credit/debit card yet. Tu program kena stalled since Zaman PH1.0 lagi. Lagipun, kalau accept credit/debit card, biasanya akan ada logo payment scheme kat reader

@rinmansor Problem is CNG combust at very high temperature, way too high that it still heat up the ambient temperature, melts engine parts, increase maintenance cost. Diesel still run better than CNG. And these day electric bus 10 years TCO is comparable to Euro6 diesel bus or lower

Sure they're experimenting with Hydrogen & Electric buses but majority of the fleet still runs on NATURAL GAS - the cleanest fossil fuel

Reimagine Public Transport Many mid size cities in Malaysia need public transportation. But it is not feasible to build expensive LRT. Here is the good news. SMH rail, a successful local rail company has partnered with German company to build autonomous driverless urban transport. Imagine this comfortable LRT-like autonomous vehicles transporting people from Sungai Ara to Bayan Baru or USM to QueensBay Mall. It can also cater future last mile need around Penang LRT stations. I hope cities can look into these new innovations in public transportation.
