44 - Roy Hodgson today won his first game as Bristol City boss in 44 years and 35 days, since a 3-1 win over Preston in February 1982. Overdue.

We can announce that Gerhard Struber has been relieved of his duties as Bristol City Head Coach. Roy Hodgson will take charge of the Men’s First Team until the end of the season, while the club will task the incoming Sporting Director with appointing a permanent Head Coach for the 2026/27 campaign. The club’s recent performances have not met expectations and therefore Struber and Assistant Head Coach Bernd Eibler will leave with immediate effect.

It’s another big Saturday across both divisions! midweek action saw Shirehampton Reserves secure a 3-0 win over Shaftesbury Crusade. In the Premier Division, Iron Acton host Longwell Green Sports Reserves as they look to keep their strong form going, while Hallen Reserves travel to Nicholas Wanderers in what could be a tricky away fixture. DRG Frenchay are on the road at Shirehampton Reserves, who will be full of confidence after their midweek win, and Thornbury Town Reserves take on Shaftesbury Crusade. Elsewhere, Patchway Town face Greyfriars Athletic in another important clash. In Division One, Old Sodbury meet Chipping Sodbury Town Reserves in a standout local fixture, while AEK Boco Reserves travel to Bedminster Down in a big game with plenty at stake. Hambrook & Brimsham Utd host Hanham Athletic Reserves, and Cribbs A take on AFC Mangotsfield. With momentum building and plenty of points up for grabs, expect another competitive weekend of football across the league! @acton_iron @longwell_res @the_wands @HallenFC @patchwaytownfc @greyfriarsafc @OfficialShireFC @UPTHEDURGE @thornburytownfc @UpTheShaz @BedmiDownFC @aekbocofc @HanhamAthRes @OldSodsFC @TSods @CribbsFC @AFCMango1st @swsportsnews @AS_FootyReview @ReplAiCamsX @AffordableFooty @bsoccerworld @NonLeagueCrowd @NonLeagueFix

The sun finally showed up this afternoon and delivered perfect football conditions, and Iron Acton took full advantage, blowing off steam from their semi‑final heartbreak with a ruthless 7-0 win over Shaftesbury Crusade. Olveston at last got their home tie played against Nic Wands and came away 3-1 winners, while Hallen made sure they stayed on top of the chase with a 3-1 victory over Longwell Res after their last meeting ended level. Thornbury Town claimed North Bristol bragging rights over Greyfriars, and Winterbourne fresh off last week’s win were brought back down to earth as Bristol Barcelona hit them for four. Division One saw only two games played, with a strong crowd watching Oldland vs Old Sodbury, an early strike set Old Sodbury on their way as they controlled the game and moved three points clear at the top despite a better second half from Oldland. The Chipping Sodbury vs AFC Mangotsfield match was abandoned after a serious injury to a Sodbury player, with AFC Mangotsfield and the league sending their best wishes for a full and speedy recovery. @greyfriarsafc @thornburytownfc @HallenFC @LongwellGreenFC @acton_iron @UpTheShaz @OlvestonFC @the_wands @BristolBarcaFC @UtdWinterbourne @TSods @AFCMango1st @Hanham_Athletic @oldlandafc @OldSodsFC @CribbsFC @LionFCBristol @swsportsnews @AS_FootyReview @ReplAiCamsX @AffordableFooty @bsoccerworld @NonLeagueFix @NonLeagueCrowd

Imagine Bristol City getting promoted to the Prem, they wouldn't even reach 10 points.

Tomi Horvat is a Robin. 🔴

Surely this can't be real... Imagine this is how we find out Vyner is meant to be going! What moron takes down the signage for every single player who’s leaving then places them all in a haphazard pile on a table for others to see 😂 📸 @tpawsy23

Thanks for the memories, but feel it’s probably the right time to go now. #BristolCity
