This quote from Peter Thiel in 2014 has always resonated with me. Finite and infinite games aren’t only for business; they also apply to life generally.
“People always say they want to live every day as though it will be their last. I always have this contrasting view that I think I’d like to live every day as though it will go on forever. If we had an indefinite life span, we would continue to work and start great new projects, we would be very careful about how we treated the people around us because we would encounter them again.”

If making Odysseus look bad were a crime, you'd have to charge the entire post-Homeric Greek tradition.
Magnus Pharao@MagnusPharao
As for the crime of making Odysseus look bad, she did that openly and on purpose, stripping a way romanticized maale-centered heroism and rejecting the notion that seafaring plundering warriors are moral ideals.

the navigation part is the least intellectually stimulating part anyway, id rather see an llm on pokemon showdown
matter of fact imma do it over the weekend
altra@catboosted
Capabilities are grossly underexpressed because the tech demos do a horrible job of letting the models run loose Every "LLM plays Pokemon" ends up being a frame-by-frame harness that forces the model to act dumb In the next act, we'll see models solve games from 1st principles
