Introducing Candyroot Lodge—a new public golf destination in the South Carolina Sandhills (approximately an hour from both Charlotte and Columbia) with plans for four championship courses, a par-3 course lit for night play, wellness amenities, and on-site lodging. The first course—an 18-hole layout by Mike Koprowski, co-designer of @BroomsedgeGolf in Rembert, S.C., with Kyle Franz—will be ready for preview play in November and make its grand opening in spring 2027. The design will be “defined by extreme minimalism” taking advantage of sandy ridges and natural slopes with “intentionally small” greens.
