@John_Capobianco Interesting. I always feel like I’m one innovation behind in this world, but my brain has to reconcile understanding each step before I can move to the next complex one. SDD / Spec is something I need to spend time on.

Honestly I'm fairly spoiled with my token budget and only fall back to Gemma4 for local side project stuff But everything I build now is SDD in terms of my approach so the underlying LLM is not as important as my approach with spec kit as most LLMs can spit out a good .md file So Gemma4 + SDD is quite amazing if you are 'just' spitting out skills and MCPs

@TracketPacer I’m going to go off the edge of it and suggest that any engineer that speaks an absolute probably shouldn’t be one because there are no absolute in physics or life…. I’m willing to accept there may be things that are very close to absolute like really really close.

if working in aerospace has taught me anything it’s that any engineer who speaks in absolutes about hardware is full of it

@John_Capobianco What tasks are you using Gemma for and what hardware are you running it on? As I wrote in my latest blog, the usage space billing thing is very real and in my opinion it’s only going to get worse at this point

@cantechit It really depends I use opus 4.8 for all of my SDD work but my netclaw uses sonnet 4.6 Gemma4 is my go to for local hands down Somebody added an amazing new graph format replacing toon in netclaw so savings on tokens are way way up like 70% savings vs json now

What’s the weirdest thing I learned @CiscoLive that Ididn’t expect. IPV6 RA Throttle Policy can reduce battery drain from RAs waking sleeping clients, it isn’t enabled by default. I watched a dozen people in @vlinder_nl session fixing their controllers in real time.. #TheMoreUKnow
