@capaciousne55 @anon_opin Was a disaster. There’s not really another way to get a family and a months worth of luggage to the south of France, and have a decent size car once you’re there. 2 to 4 hours wait for each charge. My Disco did it with one stop.

Electric vehicles won't be viable until supermarkets install more than 3 charging points in a carpark of 200 spaces.

Sure, I can do it, but a 15mins break is good, and I was doing it before I went electric 15mins is all it takes to get enough charge to leave me with 20% remaining when I get home

This is why I cycle. Just been to a meeting in Hammersmith. To drive there, it would take around 1h25m. I would have to pay the congestion charge and parking. On the tube, it would have taken 55 minutes, and I would have to pay. I cycled. It took 40 minutes going there and 45 minutes coming back. I paid nothing.

@llggeorgia Nearly all burglaries in the UK happen when you're out, during the day. Homes with windows open are usually occupied, so there's not a great increase

Self-checkout lanes are a scam to make customers do unpaid labor for massive retail corporations. They eliminate cashier jobs to save money, yet they don't pass any of those savings down to us. Then they have an employee stand there and watch you like a criminal while you scan your own groceries. If I am checking out my own items and bagging them, I deserve a 5% discount on my entire receipt.I will gladly stand in the one open human lane just to avoid using those automated machines.
