I've purchased a much larger home, and have three completely unused rooms. Other than a Guatemalan sex dungeon, I've no idea what to do with the space. Suggestions please. Will tip in Bitcoin if I use your idea 💡

@anon_opin Hard agree. They could allow free parking as long as the parker can scan a receipt showing a in store purchase over a certain Amy.

@capaciousne55 @anon_opin Every other car you got was an improvement on the last. This one isn’t, you have to schedule a stop. The govt has fucked you in the ass and you’re defending it.

@anon_opin Mine's perfectly viable, and other than having to schedule a stop on a 3hr + drive, is an improvement over every car I've owned before

The Fibonacci sequence (0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13…) isn’t just math — it’s a universal pattern. As it grows, ratios of terms approach the Golden Ratio (Φ ≈1.618), a harmony found in spirals, plants, shells, galaxies & even DNA. [🎞️ thevisualalchemy]

This dickhead is angry with me for considering setting up a GoFundMe to buy a hotel to pay for the costs of my nature reserve. I didn’t set up a GoFundMe because it pissed people off because I was honest and said the I owned two properties (mortgaged to the hilt) and a nature reserve, again mortgaged, and preserving local green space. I try to be a decent person and someone always finds fault.

@Poppy_yyyyyyyy GFM has many campaigns for the worse off and people in desperate need of medical help. Using it to buy a hotel is repugnant, not cheeky.

@HeathersideD What? I deleted a post saying I was considering a GoFundMe to buy a hotel which was cheeky AF, I know. I don’t know how my deleting this post takes money away from kids with cancer.

You know what? Forget it. I’ll find the money for the hotel myself. I’ve never asked anyone for anything and I’ll keep it that way. And it’s going to be a success so screw the people who said I can’t do it.

@Lopezo110 People realised the irony: Decentralised? 😬 - Nope, it’s run by Nevin only. Anti inflation? 😬 - Nope, Nevin dumped on everyone then blamed the community. Confusion Capital runs $RSR. There isn’t a single reason for people to buy it.

Private landlords are costing the UK £40 billion in housing benefit every year. They are a drain on the economy and do no work, providing no productivity or growth.
Kirstie Allsopp@KirstieMAllsopp

Surprise, surprise @wesstreeting is on @BBCr4today bashing landlords. I’ve got news for you mate, we can’t have a “productive nation” without people having homes, so if you want to tax Landlords to hell, I’d build some alternative accommodation first ‘cos you’re going to need it.

@Steven_Swinford Your solution would make her homeless then. If you can’t buy, you rent. Someone fixes the boiler or plumbing as it’s not your problem. When that person has no incentive to keep that place as it costs too much, the system collapses.

Wes Streeting has this morning set out his tax plans - specifically bringing capital gains tax into line with income tax He says that the current system is unfair because it penalises work Higher or additional rate taxpayers will pay 24% on gains in the current financial year. Streeting said that the rates should mirror income tax bands - so 40% for higher rate taxpayers and 45% for additional rate taxpayers He says that the approach could raise £12billion a year Streeting said: “A member of my family is a cleaner in Lancashire. She pays a higher tax rate on her salary than her landlord pays for the growing value of the home she lives in. She slogs her guts out, he puts in far less effort, yet the state rewards him more than her. And we wonder why people are angry. “The system is penalising work. It’s not fair and it’s bad for our economy. We need a wealth tax that works. A pound made from simply owning assets should not be taxed less than a pound made from a hard day's work. We can do it in a way that is pro-growth, pro-entrepreneur and pro-work.”

@GrahamJCampbell @Mulski_ @moving_charlie Based on value or land size? Mansion tax is already coming in - what more do you want? Property prices would collapse at the top, and smaller places would become even more expensive to avoid continuous taxation on an already owned asset. It’s a no-win.

@Mulski_ @moving_charlie I want more tax on land as a swap for lowering taxes like national insurance, corporation tax and VAT that are regressive and effect the poor.

Imagine how many more home moves don't happen because of this. Selling the £1m home will already cost around £25,000 in selling fees, removal costs and solicitors, but at least that's going into the economy and helping to employ people. Many down-sizers would stomach the £25k, but not £40k

Two years ago today, Mr Justice Mellor issued his judgment in COPA v Wright, which confirmed the declarations made at the end of the trial on 14 March that Wright was not Satoshi and did not write the White Paper, 3 years after COPA issued proceedings in response to Wright's threats. The judgment went much further, with Mellor J concluding that: "Dr Wright's attempts to prove he was/is Satoshi Nakamoto represent a most serious abuse of this Court's process"; "he lied repeatedly and extensively in his attempts to deflect the allegations of forgery"; and "the case that Dr Wright is not Satoshi Nakamoto is overwhelming". Wright was subsequently ordered not to threaten or issue proceedings on the basis of any rights in Bitcoin, was then found in contempt of court for doing exactly that, and is currently still at large, subject to a suspended prison sentence and pending a decision on perjury charges being brought by the CPS. The wheels of justice grind very slow. bailii.org/ew/cases/EWHC/…
