Cape Town is not the Europe of anything, it is a South African city in Africa and it will remain that until the end of time.

Violent crime is exploding while government looks away. Violent crime remains at crisis levels. Families are living in fear while the state continues to fail in its most basic duty, which is to protect the public. These numbers confirm what communities experience every day. Policing is under-resourced, investigations are slow, and victims are left without justice. Action Society will continue to fight for real reforms that put victims first and restore proper policing. Join us in demanding accountability. Sign up and support our work: actionsociety.co.za

The DA is basically just a sales funnel to get minority support for the ANC It's a remarkably powerful strategy - use the fear of the ANC to consolidate support, then use the fear of MK/EFF to get that support behind the ANC "You have nowhere else to go" You don't say

@RyanCoetzee The fundamental problem is an issue of leverage. The liberal market economy bloc only holds ~30% of the votes which has been a ceiling. The reality is that the rest of the country outside the cape doesn’t believe in liberal democracy and liberal market economics

At the behest of the DA’s leader I tried very hard to negotiate a more effective growth agenda with CR’s office in exchange for DA support for a budget, but the ANC preferred to cook up a deal with ASA (because everything is politics 🙄) that then fell apart. That’s when I knew I was done with politics.

For years, many have treated land invasions as a "far away" problem. Out of sight, out of mind. Not anymore. Plans to rehouse thousands in Fish Hoek & the Deep South show how quickly that can all change. Your neighbourhood is the frontline. It's time to stand up and fight back.

@FCHPolitics @DrewPavlou The Americans or Europeans just need to send one Carrier strike group off the Cape coast to deter an invasion

@DrewPavlou I'm a South African from the Cape I don't want us to unilaterally declare independence because then we would be invaded by the much larger country of South Africa I don't want a war here

The world needs to look at independence for the Cape. South Africa is a disaster zone run by corrupt communists who love Russia and China.

No we werent We were in the Cape before them, but not SA as a whole. Bantu groups have been in various parts of the east and north of SA for around 1.5k years

Pretoria leans harder onto China in wake of G20 This is part of a long ongoing process of absorption into China’s sphere of influence, accelerated by Trump’s criticisms. But it comes at a cost. thecapeindependent.com/pretoria-leans…

Kaapenaars want more independence Independent polling has repeatedly shown that the only real debate is in what form that autonomy should come. Here are the 2025 polling results (Full polling methodology on our website)

Good lawd above. This is absolutely shocking. But quick let's rename another road, that is sure to solve our rocketing crime problem. We simply don't hate this government enough...😡 @MYANC @Our_DA
Yusuf Abramjee@Abramjee

#CrimeStats Between July and September, 4772 kidnappings were reported…that’s an average of 53 every day. Gauteng tops the list with over 2500 cases, followed by KZN and Western Cape.
