🇮🇷🇺🇸🇵🇰 Iran just rolled a Khorramshahr-4 ballistic missile into the middle of Tehran's Revolution Square for everyone to see. 2,000 km range. Heavy warhead. Used in real strikes against Israel. Iran's message is not cryptic at all.
Mario Nawfal@MarioNawfal

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Let's be precise about what just happened Trump extended the ceasefire. Iran rejected the extension. Both sides are acting like the ceasefire is still in effect. That is the negotiation. Trump said he would never extend it. Pakistan's Field Marshal called. He extended it anyway. The public reason given is that Iran's government is "seriously fractured" and Pakistan needs more time to get a unified proposal from Tehran. Read that carefully. The US is explicitly acknowledging that the people at the table in Islamabad may not speak for the people controlling the guns in Tehran. That is the exact problem we identified days ago and now it's in the official American justification for extending a ceasefire the other side didn't agree to. Iran called the extension a unilateral declaration it doesn't recognize. That is Tehran preserving its sovereign position without resuming hostilities. It is a face-saving rejection that changes nothing on the ground. The IRGC isn't firing. Ships are still moving under the coordinated route. The blockade is still in place. Everyone is acting as if a ceasefire exists while Iran officially says there isn't one. This is the fog of diplomacy rather than the fog of war. And it tells you exactly where things stand.

Pilot tried to block a legit service dog from first class… because of how he looked 😡 Handler had paid first-class seats + all DOT paperwork for calm, trained Thanos. Pilot still questioned them over the dog’s size and appearance. Manager had to step in before they were allowed on. Should pilots be able to deny documented service dogs based on looks alone? Who else is furious seeing legit service teams get hassled while rules get ignored for others? Drop your thoughts 🔥👀

"The op basically cost $300 million because they had to abandon the two AFSOC C-130s and the four MH-6 Little Birds. Then the U.S. Air Force had to use multiple bombs to blow up all the aircraft they abandoned at that airstrip. And the Iranians shot down 2 MQ-9s Reaper drones. "Luckily the U.S. suffered no casualties and we had to use multiple bombs and missiles to blow up IRGC vehicles that tried to drive up the mountain and also those that tried to drive to the airstrip." 2/2

Details about the rescue op for the U.S. Weapon Systems Officer, via a U.S. military official: "The mountain top area on the left is where the WSO was hiding (he ejected 5ish miles northwest of there). The right area is the makeshift landing strip where they landed 2 C-130s and had 4 MH-6 Little Birds. "One Little Bird flew to that mountain top area and rescued the WSO and brought him back to the landing strip. And of course the two C-130s' nose gears got stuck in the dirt. So after a few hours they had to bring in three AFSOC Dash-8s to fly out the rescued WSO and the 100 or so personnel involved in the op." 1/2

NEW: 67-year-old Karen Cooke Lewis arrested for scratching a Tesla Cybertruck with nails on a board in Collettsville, North Carolina. The owner of the Cybertruck says he had no clue who Karen was. "We had all the craziness with Teslas when Elon was part of Doge and all that stuff, but I thought we had kind of gotten past that and I'd kind of made it through unscathed," the owner said. Karen was arrested and charged with injury to personal property. When will they realize that Teslas have cameras that are recording them?

@shanaka86 OK class, let’s think about this. The US military has obliterated everything associated with the Iranian military. It’s silly to think that anything moving through the Straight are going to be doing so without the express permission of the United States. Ships paying in yuan. NO

Iran just offered to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. But only if you pay in yuan. CNN confirms, citing a senior Iranian official, that Tehran is considering allowing a limited number of oil tankers through the Strait provided the cargo is traded in Chinese yuan. Not dollars. Not euros. Yuan. The waterway that carries 20% of global oil, that seven P&I clubs closed through insurance, that a wounded Supreme Leader ordered permanently shut, that the United States just bombed the military defences of Kharg Island to force open, is being offered back to the world on one condition: the currency changes. This is the most consequential sentence of the war that nobody in the oil market has priced. The petrodollar system was born in 1974 when Saudi Arabia agreed to price oil exclusively in dollars in exchange for American military protection. That agreement has governed global energy trade for fifty-two years. Every barrel of crude on Earth has been denominated in dollars. Every central bank holds dollar reserves because oil requires them. Every nation that imports energy must first acquire dollars to pay for it. The system is the foundation of American financial hegemony, and Iran just proposed replacing it with yuan for the world’s most critical chokepoint. China is already the model. Eighty to ninety percent of Iranian crude exports to China settle in yuan or barter through CIPS, the Chinese cross-border payment system that processed 175 trillion yuan, approximately $24.5 trillion, in 2025, a 43% increase year on year. Since 28 February, 11.7 to 16.5 million barrels of Iranian crude have transited the Strait to China via shadow fleet under IRGC protection while every other nation’s shipping is locked out. China pays in yuan. China’s tankers move freely. Everyone else burns or reroutes. The war was supposed to force the Strait open. Instead it is being reopened selectively, on Iran’s terms, in China’s currency. America bombed Kharg to demonstrate it controls the island. Iran responded by demonstrating it controls the condition of passage. The military targets are rubble but the negotiating position is intact: the Strait opens when the currency changes. The implications cascade across every domain. If yuan-denominated tankers begin transiting Hormuz while dollar-denominated tankers remain locked out by insurance, mines, and IRGC targeting, the war produces a bifurcated oil market: yuan barrels for China and BRICS partners at Iranian-discounted prices, dollar barrels for the West at war-premium prices. Two prices for the same commodity. Two currencies for the same waterway. Two systems for the same barrel of oil. The fragmentation the dollar was designed to prevent is being accelerated by the war that was supposed to preserve it. China imports 45% of its crude through the Hormuz region. It holds 90 to 130 days of strategic reserves. Its teapot refineries process Iranian crude at $9 to $12 below Brent. Its CIPS system bypasses every Western sanction. And now the country whose Supreme Leader cannot stand is offering Beijing the one thing no amount of American airpower can bomb: a currency alternative for energy transit. The Strait is not reopening for ships. It is reopening for yuan. And the fifty-two-year-old system that priced every barrel in dollars just met the war that may end it. open.substack.com/pub/shanakaans…

Dear Mr. President, I’ve been thinking about this in the shower and I have a plan. The problem isn’t Iran. It’s the ship crews. These are my people. Merchant Mariners are an odd lot. “Show some guts” doesn’t work because these guys have crossed the North Atlantic in winter. They already know what they’ve got. We are a practical lot. Common sense, as you often say. So avenging our deaths by carpet bombing Iran, while a a generous token, doesn’t do much to motivate us. Dead is dead. You can’t collect on a life insurance policy if the underwriter at Lloyd’s has TDS, and most of them do. Plus those supertanker fires are nasty. Think AOC when she’s as old as Pelosi. Our phrase is Acta Non Verba. Actions, not words. So someone will have to sail through first. And it’s not enough to sail with AIS off under the cover of dark. Someone has to sail in broad daylight with an enormous American flag streaming over the stern. The biggest flag you’ve ever seen. Huge. It’s a show of flag exercise so we want something big. Step one: you need a Captain. Someone kinda well known. Handsome, ideally, a man of faith of course, debonair would be nice but we can work with what we’ve got. Here’s what I’ll do. I’m heading to the big CMA conference tomorrow and will recruit a crew. I’m a little rusty but a great crew can compensate for a lot of command failures. Ask any Admiral. My license needs to be renewed, and I’ll need someone to waive all those stupid classes the UN’s @IMOHQ wants me to take. Seven courses, Mr. President. To do the same job I’ve been doing for 30 years. Pete is a good judge of character, he can vouch for me. A note from the President to Admiral Lundy should do. Might be the fastest the Coast Guard has ever moved on anything. But I need a just a few small things in return. First, I need a SEAL team or equivalent. Just a small platoon but preferably one of those tier one guys if available. They can’t shoot down drones or anything, but they absolutely can tell me to man up when I inevitably say “WTF was I thinking.” Pete, if you’re reading this, feel free to send your best. I promise I will not make them sit through a PowerPoint. Also, I fully expect at least one Admiral in charge of the convoy frigates to do something dumb…. like epic level retarded… and SEALs are historically very good at straightening out Admirals. Consider it an interservice relations exercise. Next, we need some of those Navy Corpsmen. The crazy bastards who embed with Marines. If we get hit and my leg needs amputation, I want it done by a guy who’s done it before, not a guy who’s got s rusty saw and an ikea manual. That’s it. You don’t even need to pay me or my crew a cent. Honestly, this might be the best deal ever, and I know you’ve seen some deals. Oh, just one more thing. We want the same deal y’all gave Bruce Willis’s crew in Armageddon. No more federal taxes. For life. You’ve seen the movie, sir. That scene is basically a documentary about how to negotiate with the federal government. And if I don’t make it? I want to be buried next to Dad in Arlington, and my kids and wife get the no-taxes-ever thing. That’s the Captain Konrad family plan. Very competitive rates. Lastly, we’re going to need a few ships to follow us into Hormuz. Probably no more than ten. I suggest Filipino-crewed ships. They are the best mariners in the world, they are tough as hell, and they will not complain too much. Actually all mariners complain but I’ll have them do that part in tagalog. For the first ten ships that volunteer to follow me through, each crew gets one of your Golden Visas (brilliant idea, by the way) and a pork adobo cookout at the White House on a date of your choosing. I’ll even get one of the guys to send you the recipe. It’s delicious. Trust me. That’s about it. Just let me know what airport I should meet the jet at tomorrow afternoon. Very Best Regards, Captain John Konrad Master, Unlimited Tonnage US Merchant Marine

This will go down in history as one of the most reckless, most egregious actions committed by the USG. There is no justification for it. The ship was returning from a naval exercise in India. They could have been blockaded, prevented from reaching their home country. But this was a plain massacre, and it happened too close to Indian waters.

Sinking this warship over 3,000KM from Iran was a major blunder, IMHO. This is not like sinking smaller Iranian warships at pier side, with their crews ashore. 🧵 As with beginning this war on Feb 28 with a decapitation sneak attack, [during negotiations], this was, in a sense, drawing first blood, at least in a naval warfare understanding. Why? War has still not been declared. The Iranian warship had just attended the International Fleet Review in India and was near Sri Lanka when it was torpedoed and sunk without warning, 3,000KM from home. Why was it a blunder? Now, when the US Navy attempts to escort tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, if any of our warships are sunk or set on fire by Iranian anti-ship cruise missiles, the entire world will say, "What did you expect? You drew first naval warfare blood far away from the conflict zone with a submarine attack." This sinking also paints a "legit target" sign on every USN warship, pier side or at anchor, anywhere in the world. Anybody remember what happened to the USS Cole during a refueling stop in Aden, Yemen? That can now happen anywhere in the world that swimmer sappers or speedboats can reach a US Navy warship, and successful attacks will be seen as 100% legitimate acts of war, and not acts of terrorism. Once again, we have set a precedent we may come to regret.

The USAF had one of its worst days in a generation this morning when three F-15Es were shot down in a matter of minutes over Kuwait. Let's examine this incident in detail.⬇️ Let's examine the damage. All three pilots walked away unharmed and the videos we have available show relatively modest damage to the airframes centered on the tail section. The one video we have of a hit shows a clean strike to the rear of the aircraft, with strong indications of control surface damage and engine failure immediately afterwards. This is inconsistent with strikes by heavy SAMs - either from a Kuwaiti Patriot or HAWK (as is being claimed by CENTCOM) or S-300VM (as is being claimed by Iran). A hit from any of those rather large systems could be expected to tear the aircraft apart and kill the pilot instantly. Finally, let's examine the context. The one impact we have a video of (video 1) shows an F-15 flying straight and level before being hit squarely in the tail. No missile is visible inbound or extensive cloud of debris after the blast, suggesting that whatever hit it was rather small and low-powered. No evasive maneuvers are apparent, which indicates that this aircraft's pilot was unaware they were under attack. Combat aircraft have radar warning receivers that light up like Christmas trees if they're being painted with a fire control radar and the pilot could be expected to take strong evasive maneuvers and deploy chaff and flares if they were aware they had been fired upon, whether by mistake or not. There's only really one theory that I think makes sense here, and I understand if it sounds aggressive - because it is - but I think it's the only theory that fits the observed facts: An Iranian fighter probably slipped into Kuwaiti airspace this morning and shot these F-15s down with IR-guided Sidewinders or R-73s before escaping. And everyone is lying about what actually occurred for reasons of their own.
